@bonham2 I really hope so. Other books from the Walter Foster Jr. 101 series have made it in, so I assume mine could as well. If it does it will likely be in the Spring. It's currently available on Amazon, Books-a-Million and more, if you don't want to wait
Thanks for the review, Thomas! I hope readers, especially the younger ones, really enjoy my book. If anyone has added questions or comments feel free to let me know
@arronishere I can only imagine they are. I only had the Wii U title at my disposal though. I know the Wii version features a point and shoot mechanic with the wiimote, and I'm not sure if that would be better or worse.
@bloodycelt Here's the definition of a seven from our scoring guide (which I'm obviously using).
"A seven is not average in our eyes. This game will sport a few areas where the game is blatantly let down to the detriment of its overall quality and enjoyment, but it is NOT average. A seven is still a recommendation, but you might want to consider what we thought let the game down and decide for yourself if it would bother you before buying."
A score should absolutely reflect how a mainstream gamer would like the game. Those are the people who are wondering if they should play it. You're telling me you don't even bother reading reviews on genres you don't enjoy? How would you expand your tastes? Reviews are for people who aren't sure what to think of a game. If people read the review they will find the info they need. If they're just looking at the number at the bottom they might not get the whole picture. I'm not a fan of FPS, but if an FPS got a 10/10 I would absolutely give it try. I might not buy it, but I would seek it out just to see why it scored so highly. Your outlook in reviews and scores in general is twisted (at least IMHO).
@bloodycelt Except I love rail shooters. The second Sin and Punishment and Star Fox 64 are two of my favorite games. I do need to think about the mainstream person though, as those who are heavily invested in shoot'em ups will already have formed an opinion on a title such as this that has been available for years. You'll notice I suggested those into shoot'em ups would enjoy this game in the conclusion, but the average gamer might not. Plenty of different types of games get high scores. Just because I gave this one a seven, doesn't mean it will be a seven for those highly invested in this genre.
@Einherjar But not everyone knows how short most rail shooters are. I knew it would be short, but that didn't really make my disappointment that it was over any better. I just felt the game had some short comings. Check the scoring guide though, a seven is not an average score
@Samurai_Goroh Hey, no sweat. You love the games you love. I can understand how this might be one of the games in someones top 5. It is a awesomely exciting game.
@Samurai_Goroh Yeah, that gender confusion was my mistake. I apologize for overlooking that. A seven is still a good score, but I think many will be put off by how short the game is, especially for the $12 price tag. Thanks for the input though.
@Nico07 Honestly the only true tutorial was the one I willfully selected at the start. Aside from that there were a few instances of E. Gadd popping up and detailing some new ghost, but that's about it.
@LachyMan I've never seen that article before. It wasn't one of the top hits when I googled it while on vacation, so it must just be a coincidence. Wish I had though! Would have made things a heck of a lot easier for me...
@sizelando The MEGA Pokemon Center in Tokyo was a fun visit, though it was smaller than anticipated. Besides that you should hit up Akihabara for an overload of gaming/anime/manga goodness. Seek out A-Too in Kyoto, it was the best used gaming store I found while I was there. Also, any Book Off will have tons of used games. There are three in Kyoto I think.

Re: Book Review: 101 Video Games to Play Before You Grow Up
@idrawrobots It's just games that kids will really enjoy. Doesn't mean grown ups can't play too!

Re: Book Review: 101 Video Games to Play Before You Grow Up
@bonham2 Well, the book doesn't come out until October. I was just planning ahead for Odyssey

Re: Feature: The Best Nintendo April Fools' Day Gags of 2017
Thanks for the shout out! My wife actually illustrated that Majora's Mask for me to match the art direction of BotW. She's the real MVP.
Re: Soapbox: Why I Still Love the Wii U
That header is ballin' yo!
Re: Feature: What We Expect from Nintendo Direct - 12th November
MS - "Well, I guess you guys can have Minecraft."
Nintendo - "And can we have Banjo Kazooie for Smash??"
MS - "Eh... no."
Re: Talking Point: Deep Breaths Are Needed as Highly Anticipated Nintendo Direct is Confirmed
Watch it just be all about Metroid Federation Force. Nintendo is like, "We have to win them over!"
Re: Review: Rodea the Sky Soldier (Wii U)
@ULTRA-64 I will check with the head honcho and get back to you on that. My gut feeling is that we won't.
Re: Review: Rodea the Sky Soldier (Wii U)
@Artwark Kid Ic flew for you. Players just had to point and shoot during the flying parts of the game. This was much harder to pick up.

Re: Review: Gravity Falls: Legend of the Gnome Gemulets (3DS)
@sWiTcHeRoO True that. To each their own.
Re: Review: Gravity Falls: Legend of the Gnome Gemulets (3DS)
@sWiTcHeRoO Whoa now, buddy. Let's not say anything we can't take back. Gravity Falls is fantastic!
Re: Review: Gravity Falls: Legend of the Gnome Gemulets (3DS)
@Not_Soos At least the humor is there. I did laugh out loud on various occasions.
Re: Review: Guitar Hero Live (Wii U)
@bezerker99 Thank you!

@invictus4000 It literally just go black and does nothing :/

Re: Review: Sin and Punishment (Wii U eShop / N64)
@MegaWatts you may be right... maybe it's because I switched the controls that I had it backwards.

#DK4Life
Though this isn't his finest hour.
Re: Review: I am an Air Traffic Controller Airport Hero Narita (3DS eShop)
@Hero-of-WiiU I'm not pleading for it, I'm just disappointed at how unexciting being an Airport Hero is
It's good to note what you're getting in an airplane-based video game, as most of them involve actual plane flying.
Re: Feature: Hands On With The Spooktacular Luigi's Mansion Arcade
@Toadsfriend Not that I saw, but you never know. He could have been hiding in some secret location I didn't discover. WAHBAH!
Re: Feature: Hands On With The Spooktacular Luigi's Mansion Arcade
@creative92 In Japan the series is simply Luigi Mansion. Crazy, right?

Re: Feature: Hands On With The Spooktacular Luigi's Mansion Arcade
@dok5555555 Nope, only player two can be blue Luigi from what we could tell.
Re: Feature: Hands On With The Spooktacular Luigi's Mansion Arcade
@bezerker99 But... it only takes yen.
Re: Feature: Hands On With The Spooktacular Luigi's Mansion Arcade
Let me know if you have any questions about the game and I'll gladly try to respond.

@sizelando Absolutely not. It was a fantastic experience! I actually enjoyed Kyoto more than Tokyo. I highly recommend it.
Re: Feature: How to Track Down Nintendo's Original Kyoto Headquarters
@Randomname19 You know I was looking for that as well! At that time it was supposed to be locked as well, he just sort of lucked out.
Re: Feature: How to Track Down Nintendo's Original Kyoto Headquarters
@sizelando Because it costs some serious green to fly to Japan and stay there
Re: Feature: How to Track Down Nintendo's Original Kyoto Headquarters
@OneBagTravel Why on my own?
