Really hope this means we could be seeing a deBlob 3 sometime soon. The first two were some of my favourite games on the Wii and I remember having a blast with them. I don't really replay games so I'm not going to double dip on these unless there is a significant amount of new content.
Do you have to put money down for pre-orders in Germany? If so then I can see the logic behind this ruling. It stops companies either holding your money ransom or it disappearing if everything goes south. Many countries have rules about clear timescales for the fulfilment of paid goods and services which can then be used as actionable in small claims court and the like.
However every pre-order I have ever done (online and instore, in the UK) is essentially just putting your name on a list. It means you get regular updates and if you either loose interest, the item never comes out or the company folds you have lost nothing. I could see regulating against this type of pre-order as heavy handed.
Metroid is my all time favourite game series and a movie based on it has the potential to be amazing, after all a lot of it's inspiration is from a movie itself. There are a lot of hurdles though one is the muteness of Samus as the director in the article alludes too. We have a talking Samus and we all know how badly that went, short intro and outro monologues only please. The Metroid universe does lend itself to something cinematic and the director here seems to know more about Metroid than Sakamoto does making a movie!
@Krisi thanks for the heads up, last game I completed was Silver and since then I've only played the first 1/3 of X so I've a lot of catching up to do. Still now I know who to avoid when taking a stroll out late at night!
That Ridley looks amazing I can see where the money from the price hike has gone. Glad to hear the other amiibo are coming back, may finally be able to get a sonic for a decent price.
@sixrings odd you say that when these amiibo are being released at the same time as the biggest game of the year. The end of the year has Smash, Pokémon Go and Mario Party, defiantly not a time when Nintendo could be accused of having no games. I'm not saying these aren't cash grabs but they defiantly aren't in lieu of games either.
That map has made me even more excited for these games. Been looking forward to a relaxing jaunt through Kanto to revel in nostalgia. That Pikachu however, what on earth is going on there?!?

What on earth are those humanoid Pokémon on the last line? They look like they are from a terrifying dystopian future!
