Re: Feature: The Hall Of Shame – Games Or Series We Never Got Around To Playing

AmethystLeslie

Because I didn't grow up with gaming consoles, the list of must-play games that I've avoided must be in the hundreds, at the very least.

I've realized something, tho. I have never played a single Gamecube game. Ever. The entire Playstation library I've also never had a chance to play, and the only Xbox game I've played was Star Wars Battlefront 1, for the original Xbox, with a friend, and I think the only actual Sega console game I've played was Puyo Puyo 2 for the Wii VC.

Nintendo's stuff on the other hand, while I've still avoided a lot of stuff, there's at least 1 game per console I've experienced save for the Gamecube, thanks to Virtual Console. I was 15 when I got into gaming when my aunt gave us her Wii. Since then, I've experienced multiple generations of Nintendo games across multiple modern consoles, but because the Gamecube library has yet to be ported, it's the one console that's eluded me. I don't have the money to get it physically, nor does my laptop like it when I play graphically intensive games, so emulation is out of the question.

So there you have it.

Meanwhile, I've been genuinely enjoying MKT, and i even liked the beta a lot. I've played a few F2P games in my time, some even for a very long time, but I always make it a personal rule to never spend money on them no matter what. I don't have that kind of money to throw around like that, so I just see "MKT is free" and go. I can ignore all the money-grubbing stuff and i end up having a good time.

Re: Poll: Have You Ever Had Problems With Nintendo Hardware?

AmethystLeslie

I'm on my 3rd 3DS, but the problems began where i got my first 3DS XL.

After overplaying and overbreeding in Pokemon Alpha Sapphire (1300+ hours i poured into that game alone), so maybe a over a year after i bought it, my circle pad started developing an issue where it holds up or down and very slowly centers itself. Also the L button is pretty much on life support, it stopped working until it rarely felt like it.

So I got another N3DSXL, the Galaxy one, very pretty, in mid-2017 So for the past few months I have experienced the same circle pad problem I had with the first N3DSXL the whole holding down up or down until very slowly recentering itself, which again, I keep thinking is due to overuse. Now all I play is Pokemon Ultra Moon where I still breed Pokemon like usual, and the best way to breed is by rotating the Circle Pad slowly in 1 particular spot. The buttons have yet to give out in this one, tho.

I still play with my 3DS very often, so the problems only arise when playing more often and quicker than most people, especially those of the "the 3DS is so dead why would you ever play that anymore" mentality.
