I prefer the Pro Controller in all honesty. A good example is Super Mario 3D world. I exclusively play on the Pro controller because it reminds me of Super Mario Sunshine. I think the game pad is too gimmicky, and too much of a risk for developers to develop exclusively for it. I think Nintendo should have just made a good console. They should have focused on processing power and OS. I think if they would have matched, or got close to 8th gen graphics they would have a competitive console. The Gamepad was fun and cool for the first week or so, but after that I lost interest.

Wow, I am still disappointed. I really wanted a Sunshine sequel or at least that style of game. I might get this when the price drops. Still disappointed.

When I was younger I know I would have been all over that 3DS instead of iPad. I know the bad controls of touch screen games would have frustrated me.

There is one thing that still bothers me though. Why hasn't Nintendo developed for Android/iOS yet?I see absolutely no cons to this. Even if they have to swallow their pride a little bit it still is economically a good decision. It gets Mario's name out there even more, and makes a few side bucks. Also, who wouldn't want to play Mario Party on an iPhone? Swallow your pride Nintendo, and just do it.

Very smart on their part. I know a lot of people are mad because they feel YouTubers are "lazy" and need to get a real "job". They need to get over that. The way Nintendo needs to look at this is it is free advertising essentially.

It was a giant mistake making the new smash bros for 3DS. So many people already have a 3DS. They should have made Smash Bros 4 clearly for selling Wii-Us, not for game sales. This new 3D mario is going to suck, and Mario Kart doesn't sell consoles. Pikmin is also not a console seller, fanboys. Where is the new Zelda?? That should've been out November 19th 2012.

I was so disappointed when I saw this. I was praying for a Super Mario Sunshine sequel. Why couldn't they keep this on 3DS? I know exactly why. This is easy money folks. They already have almost all the models. All the engines are pretty much there, so all that is left is level design. Plain and simple. The multiplayer excuse is bull. They are turning into EA more, and more, everyday. First the YouTube thing and now this.

I don't see the pros of this decision. All I see is cons. For example, if they "take" my videos I will never buy their products ever again, and I will ask my subscribers to boycott them. I want to prove to them that this will actually make them lose money. So many people make a living off of this and they go and do this. Sometimes I feel like Nintendo wants to go out of business and become somebody's b*tch like Sega. If I was going to give a recommendation of how to go out of business and make it look like an accident then I would do exactly what Nintendo is doing. You piss off your customers then you put out a console without any games.

@Happy_Mask If I was an Indie developer and I knew people were playing my game on YouTube I would be jumping with joy.

I get kind of frustrated when people say YT partners don't work hard. The hard work is at the beginning. Getting your name out there is extremely difficult. I struggled with that for like a year then success finally payed off because I was persistent and maybe had a few lucky tags. I also think people are taking my comments too literally. I guarantee if I sold my Wii-U and never bought a Nintendo game again they would actually lose money from me never buying their products again. I just want to show them that they would actually lose money from this. I make money from YT, but not NEARLY enough to live on comfortably. There are some people who live off of that and that is their only option like Chugga and NCS. I can name a couple times where I saw one of them playing a game and the very next day I went and bought it. I understand they have not been doing well and need a little extra cash but seriously, this is not the right answer to their problems. To be honest, half of my YT check goes to buying their games. tl;dr Nintendo will lose money on this decision. I will be very pissed at them.

@Lan Some don't, but I can assure I spend at least 4 hours a week on videos so I can upload every other day. I used to be just like you half of you. I got really jealous whenever I would see somebody with a partnership, then I would come to the conclusion that they didn't work hard for it. Now that I do have one, I understand how hard you have to work just to get your name out there. That is the hardest part. Coming up with good comedic commentary every video is tough too.

@Jaz007 I I wouldn't want a total boycott, just enough of them so that they would realize that they are losing money by doing this.

@Gavn64 I will just tell my subs what Nintendo did. Then, I would ask them, do they really want to buy products from a company that can be compared to EA in terms of greediness? Most people won't want to. Also, why are people so hostile towards YouTube partners? We work hard and paid a lot of money to get our equipment.

@Ramstrong I make like 20 minute LP videos with low game audio and a louder commentary. I paid money for the game and now I am advertising it for them. What more could they possibly want? I may be bias on the situation, but I think this is a horrible business move. If they "takeover" my content I will personally make sure my subscribers never buy another Nintendo product so essentially they will lose money. It's up to them, they can be greedy and lose a big fan, or they can let me advertise (for free) for them while I make a small profit on the side.

I am a partnered Youtuber and I only play Nintendo games. I do Let's Plays and the money is very helpful. I don't understand why they are doing this, I basically help them sell games. I have told my 5000+ subscribers how awesome Wii-U is then they do this. I swear if they block my stuff I will never play their games again and I will make sure my subscribers hear about it too and not to support this company. I understand it is their property, but I am basically giving them free advertisements. I make the game look fun so people will go out and buy iot.

I laughed when they said: "Sony is about innovation". Anyways, I think Nintendo has a plan. I bet you I can predict it. I think around September 2013 Nintendo will have a price drop for both models of the Wii-U. I think Microsoft will unveil its new console at E3 and and it will BLOW the PS4 out of the water. I don't think the 720 will be cheap because of the lack of 1st party games. I also think Live will become way more expensive. I think this is Sony's last console. So, back to Nintendo. Nintendo will have a price drop this September to compete with the other consoles. They will also release a new 3D Mario game and Mario Kart HD. I think heard a rumor that PS4 will be 429$ for basic package and 529$ for deluxe set. Every other rumor that person made was correct so I think it is safe to say that is correct too. Kids will flock to the Wii-u because it will be cheap and they want the new Mario games. 720/PS4 games will be around 80-100$ if I had to guess because of the magnitude of them. The PS4/720 will be marketed towards 18-25 year old men who will not be able to afford that upfront. I think Wii-U will be successful and the PS$ will fail, The 720 will be king though. That is my prediction, I could be wrong.

I am going to get SNiper Ghost Warrior 2 before I get this one. I loved Sniper Ghost warrior 1, despite the obvious lack of funding. I can't imagine how good it is going to be now that they're serious.

My biggest problem is sometimes what I see on my screen is not what happened on the killcam. That pisses me off.

Never in my life have I had a problem with them. The only thing that has happened was my Ds Lite hinge broken and the shoulder buttons on my DSi broke. That is expected as they saw a lot of power time. They bring nothing but joy into my life. Apple products are mediocre in my opinion, they break a lot. Never owned a SOny product. Microsoft has good O.S bad console. My 360 broke after like 2 years. I hate Xbox.

I was really hoping for a giant Wii-U Pokemon game, but I guess this is cool. I hope there is no grid for movement I want free form movement.

I got mine off of EBAY because the guy at Gamestop told me I would never get one before the beginning of February. I payed 425 dollars for the Deluxe edition. ABout 2 weeks after my purchase I saw them everywhere. I learned my lesson though, always pre-order.

Finished. I hope Miyamoto can get third party support, that will make me get hearts in my eyes. I really would like to see Far Cry 3 and GTA 5 on Wii-U . I bought wii-u for the fact that I am a Nintendo fanboy, and I was always jealous of watching my friends play really good multiplayer in full HD. I refuse to purchase a Microsoft or Sony console. Now that Nintendo has taken a big step in the right direction, I am happy, just need more third party support. I think this may be Nintendo's last console though. I think when the PS4/Xbox720 launches it will leave Wii-U in the dust just like the current consoles did to the Wii. The Wii-U will not be able to play the highly advanced games of the 720 and the PS4 so third party developers will once again leave us. I really hate to admit it, but I think this is NIntendo's last console, I think they will still make software (and hope). There were some serious mistakes at launch and in the console. They should have made it way more powerful to have a chance to against the next gen consoles. They also should have had a Zelda or 3D mario game at launch, I hope I am wrong though.

Please port Farcry3 to Wii-u. I will buy it and treasure it. MIyamoto better keep up the good work on persuading 3rd party developers to put their games on Wii-U.

Far Cry 3 on Wii-U would be the bomb. I would be a happy Nintendo fanboy to say the least.

I really like having the physical copy. I really do love going to Gamestop, I always get butterflies before I go in and buy a new game. I like to show my collection to my friends sometimes and I can't do that with digital copies.

If I was CEO or head marketer or whatever, I think I could have done a better job then Reggie or Mr. Iwata. I know so many casual Nintendo gamers who would have bought it during the holiday season if it had a wider variety of games like a 3D Mario or a Zelda game , but are now waiting for the first price drop. Why wasn't there a Zelda game? I understand Zelda games take 4 years to develop and all, but If they had this console in development in 2010 they could have saved Skyward sword for Wii-U. Let us be honest Skyward sword needed HD and Wii-U could have been its home. I think Nintendo fans wouldn't mind waiting an extra 2 years for a perfected Zelda game.

Giant MMO on Wii-u in HD. That would be awesome.

I love Gamestop, so I am going to continue to buy hard copies. It is also fun to show off your collection to your friends, so why buy digital copies?
