Re: Video: Nintendo Releases a Pokémon Series Showcase For You to Enjoy

They don't really seem to realize the already-there fanservice for a pokemon RPG/open-world game. I know they said they wanted to emphasis how the 3DS is better suited for catching pokemon, etc. but that doesn't mean they can't make a game where Pikachu is the main character, since they remain more reminiscent than the trainers, and so Pikachu would go and save a group of pokemon, all because Team Rocket (or Team Flare?) kidnapped not only a ton of pokemon but also all their trainers, so Pikachu would go to several regions (Hoen, Johto, etc.) seeing several pokemon & then fighting tamed beast Pokemons (Tyranitar, Gyrados, etc.) in order to save these poor pokemon & their trainers. This was just a quick thought I came up with, that took little effort, I was seriously hoping that since they've been working on it for awhile it would be a form of such a long-asked for game :,/

With this wealth of indie titles coming late 2013 to 2014, with a list of the quality first-party titles they have just announced (MP 8, SSBU, SM3DW, etc.), not including others that may be closer than we think (Wii Sports Club), with the 2nd-party titles (W101, Bayonetta 2, X) and also other ventures, (such as FE X SMT, with "others to be announced") I think by the end of 2014, Wii U is gonna be dominating.

Re: SEGA: Sonic Titles Perform "Really, Really Well on Nintendo Platforms"

SEGA, now that you know that the Wii U is the home for Sonic, I think it's pretty obvious what the next move should be... EXPAND on the world of Sonic! In the comics/tv, they would always emphasis on how he could run around the world in seconds.. "In his latest entry, sonic is running at lightspeed!" Sonic Universe only for the Wii U! Imagine, running at lightspeeds, jumping over exotic planets, jumping astronomical feats, across stars, nebulas, galaxies? Heck, hearing it now, it could be their spiritual successor to Sonic Adventures 2 but on a mic. grander scale (a scale that has been proven not only shin'en comments but also the scope seen by X) :')

Edit: this is probably going too far-fetched, but it would even be pretty badass that since sonic runs faster than Mario, he would clearly be covering more distance than Mario would; it would be really cool that hypothetically, if this game were made, imagine at the end like end-credits, he's going at his fastest speeds (really being UNLEASHED), & he eventually stumbles upon a red-blue plumber, Mario! Major cliffhanger for what would be a colossal crossover :'DDD

@Zombie_Barioth That is true, they would delay their masterpieces a lot more.. But, still; I can dream right? When they announced SMT X FE I was really hoping that was them in an attempt to expand their horizons. I'm not saying this is the best way, just thought it fit the pokemon style , the same way that SMT fit FE's style. Again, I just wish they could further expand; it doesn't even have to be with second-party developers (I know Atlus isn't, which it makes the whole deal a bit anomalous), it can be within the confines of their first party ip's, such as a Metroid X Star Fox crossover.

Why doesn't Nintendo buy the rights to Digimon? I'm sure it may not be all 'that' easy, but really, when was the last time you saw the the brand Digimon used? It matches their style so well, not to mention the fan base for the series (least up to the 4th generation); honestly if they were to expand Gamefreak studios, and get half to work on a Digimon title (or get key members from Gamefreak to help revitalize Digimon, since X&Y will be the pinnacle of a Pokemon rpg game). Could you imagine a Pokemon X Digimon title?! (nerdgasm)

Its so funny how the more Nintendo reaches out & goes to lengths to really improve, the more negative towards Nintendo get. Say what you want about the Wii U, but I feel it is really turning over the tide in the same way that the 3DS turned around as well, and is now considered the best mobile platform by many.
