Original article [Wed 15th Jun, 2022 04:45 BST]: Following on from a few limited-time weekend giveaways, The Pokémon Company has now announced another one for Pokémon Sword and Shield. This time around it's a Shiny Clefairy at Level 50, equipped with Eviolite.
According to Serebii.net, it's the same one used in 2021 at the Asia Players Cup, and comes with the move Protect, Helping Hand, Follow Me and Icy Wind. A code for it will be made available between June 18th and June 19th later this week via the official Pokémon Facebook pages. Here's a look:

I don’t know how one could win with such a moveset (and I wouldn’t stand a chance competitively), but a shiny’s a shiny.
It’s also worth bearing in mind that this can be transferred to BD/SP or Legends Arceus, if you are so inclined.
Doesn't a guaranteed shiny defeat the whole purpose of having one?
@Silly_G It actually is REALLY good competitively, but only in Double Battles.

@TowaHerschel7 : I figured it was tailored for doubles, but I didn’t think that Clefairy could take enough of a beating.

Awesome, a free shiny is always nice, especially if it's a classic like Clefairy
@Silly_G Clefairy’s hidden ability is Friend Guard which boosts both it and its doubles partner’s defensive stats. Along with the defense boost from Eviolite, it may be more popular than Clefable in competitive. I’ve seen it on quite a few sample teams.
As others have said, it’s a free shiny and Clefairy’s one of my faves ever since Gen 1 so I’m pretty happy

Normally I'd be quite excited for this, but I already have a shiny Clefable that I caught as a Clefairy in Legends Arceus so... I'll still probably claim it, though, unless I forget
A shiny in a Cherish Ball is always incredibly cool (my three Galarian Birds are testament to that) so this'll be great to have. Especially now that I finally have HOME so box space is no longer an issue.
Cleafairy is one of the best gen 1 pokemon

Not bad. I sometimes use Clefable online causing people to run away lol
They probably think I play competitively but in reality I probably wouldn't last that long at all against a competitive player despite being a veteran.

@PBandSmelly What other purpose is there for having a shiny than to just have them for aesthetic purposes? They don't do anything different than any other Pokèmon.
It knows Glaciate instead of Icy Wind Japan, really wish we'd have gotten the unique one instead of the generic version...
