This week in the UK charts, there aren't any changes at the top at all! April's major Switch release, Nintendo Switch Sports, has held on firmly to the number one spot, with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga also keeping its position right behind the motion-controlled game.
Some other Switch games have seen a nice little boost this week — Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a mainstay in the top ten, but it's climbed back into fourth, and Kirby and the Forgotten Land has climbed all the way from ninth to fifth. It seems like a lot of people can't get enough of the first proper 3D Kirby game, and we don't blame you!
One surprise sees Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle hop back into the top 40, sitting pretty at 36, even outselling Breath of the Wild. There have been a number of buyout rumours around the game's developer Ubisoft, which has some of us worried considering we've heard next to nothing about the sequel, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, since its reveal at E3 last year.
Outside of Nintendo-related games, the top ten sees February's PC and PlayStation martial arts brawler Sifu make its debut. Perhaps last week's update — which our sister site Push Square covered — along with a new physical release drew in a lot of new players?

Pretty sure Mario + Rabbids are complete already - just waiting for it’s launch window. No worries.
Every time I see GTA V on this weekly list, I die a little on the inside.
I’m enjoying switch sports but I just noticed for bowling they make the obstacles harder if you are in the lead compared to the people with less points. I assume it’s to try and balance the match but it kind of feels off.
@Axecon Why? It's probably bought along with a new console. Pretty much like Mario Kart (except SONY wishing GTA was a first party title lol.) GTA is still very popular amongst school children. They think they are being all adult playimng it lol. Bless em.
No FIFA in the top 10? My faith in you UKers is being restored.
@GrailUK The more people buy GTA 5, the later GTA 6 gets pushed out. Not to mention lack of time and attention going to older GTA ports (the PS2 trilogy) from Rockstar. Plus, it just feels deflating to see new games you are rooting for have sales surpassed by a game that's dominated the sales board for over 11 years. Like give some other titles a chance!
Maybe I'm too invested in this, but I'll celebrate the day GTA V falls from the top selling games for good. Honestly I could probably say the same for MK8.
Why are people still surprised by GTAV selling so much? It's more than obvious that people buy it for GTA online, which is still as alive as Minecraft or LoL, and nobody says anything about those still being SO popular, after so many years.
@GrailUK I mean logically speaking, we see the chart update once a week, meaning we are all a week closer to our death. So technically a correct comment by @Axecon
@Bailey5000 You are right! I need a sit down, my mind is blown.
Nice to see Kirby higher on the list again.
Come on Switch Sports, really want this game to sell big numbers, so the celebrating mediocrity and sales do not equal quality comments can come pouring in.
To be expected though interesting nonetheless that FIFA 22 being free on PS+ for May has kicked it out of the physical charts.
Hang on Kirby
I knew Nintendo switch sports would be a high selling game, but not as number 1. I heard a lot of people saying it does not reach its potential and is disappointed.
@gameboy-x For folk more interested in the physicality of playing rather than the scope of the gameplay I'm sure it's right up their street. Cetainly going to add to console sales (although it's probably only a matter of time they get called casuals. But lucky for those folk, they probably don't spend their lives online.)
