Fall Guys Teasing "Big Announcement" For Next Week

This ship has long sailed. Not to knock Fall Guys. I think it’s a fun game still. But they missed their prime time to get it out on Switch and it’s probably going to cost them.

Cool. Alan Wake and Fall Guys. Just need dates for Outer Wilds, Batman Arkham Collection, Bayonetta 3, Silksong and the TMNT games.

I hope it becomes free to play or given with nintendo online exp (which seems unlikely). I’m not up for investing more than 15€ in the game now

It needs to go F2P to garner more interest at this point. The only reason why it got so big in the first place was because it was free for PS+ owners. IDC if they add MTX to the game because the game can still be experienced in full despite being free.

Switch owners have been waiting since last year for this game, so it's on them to get us interested again.

There's some type of Fortnite collab that got leaked, so I wouldn't be surprised if that was a part of this as well since both of those games would be multi-platform.

Never played or seen this game...but may try it out on Switch

My brief experience of this game was realizing it was based around clumsy platforming controls and levels designed to physic you to death and immediately uninstalled it, is this an accurate summary?

maybe I get it on a sale for switch. but after the reason change its dead for me: I got it through PS+, had a lot of fun and rewarded this with buying some fancy dlc. But they changed the launcher and now I can't play it anymore without buying it again :/

Me and a few others played this at an event and we all thought it was good fun. They liked it more than I did, I could see the sad similarities to Fortnite, like the spending more time in a lobby than a game and that all too often you were likely to lose due to bad luck rather than skill.

I really wanted this game for a while but then it just didn't come and now I'm not sure if I'm still interested honestly...
I'll still end up getting it though probably.

@SalvorHardin The controls are pretty good, but fighting to get to the front when there are dozen's of players is the challenge. You have the capacity to screw others but it's a fair race

I think Fall Guys would perform better on console because more people are using controllers, and that's what you need for a good 3D platformer. Nintendo players especially are very acclimated with these types of games so I suspect they'll enjoy it more

Oh yeah this game, it's been so long i forgot it is coming to the switch. Looks fun but i worry about the life span of an online game that seems to be waning in popularity

The reason why it got delayed was so that the devs could release it when they turn on crossplay between Switch/Xbox/PS4/PC. If anything, it's only gonna get more players once it finally hits Switch.

If they throw this up on the eShop for $20-30 include some fun Nintendo skins trust me this will blow up on the Switch

1.) Coming to Xbox and Switch at the same time.
2.) Cross-Platform with PC and PS.

So yes, it will live on for a bit longer thanks to Xbox too.

@JR150 Fall Guys isn't even out on Xbox yet. Probably releasing same day on Xbox and Switch.
Add new Xbox player base to the list too.

If it's releasing on Game Pass, it will be even more populated on Switch.

People say this game is already dead and it's too late (as they were this time last year when the game was first announced), but I don't have a PlayStation, so this will be my first time getting to experience it. I don't play many Battle Royale games, but I've known since day one that I'm gonna love Fall Guys! A competitive online 3D platformer? Count me in! Nintendo has the biggest audience for that kind of stuff, so I hope this really breathes new life back into it. I know I'll be picking it up.

@romanista maybe I have to check again, but I had to pay if I wanted to download it by myself. Maybe now that the old one is deactivated it had changed. My Ps says I need to re login to PSN maybe that will fit it ...

Have seen some footage of this game and will probably give it a go when it comes to switch as it looks like a good bit of fun.

This is a really good game to come on and off too, probably won’t sell as well as it would have, but it doesn’t have too, and everyone saying the game is dead? It’s easy too get into a game, it’s far from dead, it’s just not talked about.

Not sure how well the sales will go on the switch tho, seeing as how ps plus helped with it popularity boost, welp let’s hope all this time spent on the port isn’t for nothing, I hope it turns out well.

@JR150 100% it was the ps plus that gave it its boost, if it hadn’t been for that it might not even had raised to begin with.

If anyone hasn't played this and is on the fence about it I'd 100% go for it. I've had this game from day 1 on PS4 and still play regularly. Fallguys was my UK 'Lockdown' game and kept me going through the rough time. It's easy to pick up and play, tonnes of fun and cute as a button. Honestly it's brilliant, and I'll defo being getting it on Switch as well. WooooWoooo!!!

Fall Guys was considerably the second game to gain massive popularity at the start of the pandemic, after ACNH and shortly before Among Us.

@SalvorHardin No. It's a fun, light-hearted Battle Royale/Party Game. You need to take a different stance if you think it's bad because of bad 'physics'

@Ventilator Cheating is very few and far between (almost solely PC) and cheaters are banned quickly, I've been playing since day 1 and maybe seen 1 cheater the whole time, even when cross-play is on.

@ferryb001 heard rumor that it'll go free to play like Rocket League did since Epic owns the game as well plus apparently Fortnite is gonna have a collab with the game kinda like Rocket League's collab so maybe who knows

Pretty excited. I still play this with my brother and my friends every now and then but the game has been pretty stagnant as season 6 has gone for over six months at this point. With Epic owning Fall Guys, my guess is it’s going free-to-play along with cross-play and releases on all major platforms. That and the announcement of a new season coming soon. Maybe I’m too hopeful haha but I feel like they need it.

I have this game on Steam and this game is BOOOOOOOORINGGGG (my only opinion, course).

In 2 years i played 4 hours only and it´s enough.

It's a valid discussion to have on whether they missed the boat or not. But I've never played it. So I'm willing to give it a try at least

@Ventilator Cheating was solved relatively quickly, I have not seen a cheater in the past year or so

I’m hoping this update is huge and makes a 2nd wind for fall guys. They already teased a bunch of new things on their YouTube channel

This game and Genship Impact are the most wanted online games here. So there a 50% chance for it to happen

I've been disappointed that this kept getting pushed back on the Switch, and I'll be honest, I'm growing very impatient. But I also question how adding Xbox and Switch to the platform isn't going to immediately increase the player pool? Switch sales are scheduled to overtake PS4 sales. How is this game "dead" if it's about to drop to millions of potential new buyers???

All of the stuff that will be in this presentation has been leaked for months, because Mediatonic isn't exactly the greatest at hiding content updates:

-Season 7 release (some footage of it was already posted on their Twitter)
-Xbox and Switch releases (obvious)
-The game will be going F2P but will add microtransactions and battle passes at the same time. People who already bought it get some additional perks like exclusive cosmetics and at least the first battle pass for free.

Great game, and it's only gotten better with updates - though the current season has been going for far too long (nearly half a year) which has made it a bit stale. Still play it pretty regularly, the new season will be a good incentive for me to finally get to the highest crown rank.

@Shepdawg1 maybe there are more people like me who played at launch but not for a long time now, who would happily dive back in?
