The arrival of Pokémon Legends: Arceus had a predictably positive impact on the Switch's fortunes in its homeland last week.

Between 24th January and 30th January, Arceus sold 1,424,657 copies, a massive contribution to the staggering 6.5 million units it has sold so far worldwide. This shot in the arm has enabled the Switch family to shift almost 100,000 hardware units in Japan during the same timeframe – a modest bump from the 77,219 consoles sold in the previous week.

As has so often been the case lately, the entire top ten is made up of Nintendo Switch software (first numbers are estimated sales for this week, followed by total sales):
