One of the biggest indie releases this year is Unpacking - if you haven't heard about it, then go and read our review. We praised the game awarding it nine out of ten stars.
Right, done? Witch Beam Games - the Australian-based developer behind this title - has revealed its latest release sold over 100k copies in its first 10 days across all platforms. It arrived on multiple systems including the Nintendo Switch at the beginning of last month, and its popularity has significantly increased since then.
If you haven't played Unpacking yet, it tells a touching story of life as you unpack items and set them up in houses, apartments and bedrooms. Have you played this indie gem yet? Did you contribute to these sales in the first 10 days? Comment below.

A cool million dollars in the bag, easy.
Really nice game to just unwind after a hard day at work. Easy recommendation.
Looks fun. Thought it would be even more fun in mobile with touch screens (be careful there's a crap game with same name)
I've added it to my Wishlist. It looks like something I'll enjoy.
My daughter and niece was watching a really popular youtuber playing this and they couldn't stop talking about it for a day. I believe that played a huge part in their marketing efforts. Seems like a nice and relaxing game but I have too much organizing in real life to do already 😂
Downloaded it on xbox game pass.... was tedious and boring. Not for me type of game.
Lovely game. It gets a little bit frustrating when you don't place an item exactly in the correct spot and you have no clue where it should be (or what that item even is), though.
Played on Gamepass. Was enjoyable but by the last level the amount of clicking on boxes got a bit much! Isn’t this like £16/£17? Grateful for Gamepass for games like this as that seems to be the standard price to get slapped on Indie games these days.
Good on 'em, always glad to see a Aussie dev do well. I usually do buy locally made games on the Switch eshop but I played this on Game Pass, pretty much only for the easy 1000GS, and I really can't see myself playing it ever again.
I bought this on release (I had a lot of gold points saved, so I ended up getting it for £10) and am really enjoying it in-between bouts of bigger, more stressful games or late at night when I can't sleep.
It is a pretty short game, so if you are unsure I would suggest waiting for a sale, but for anyone who enjoys relaxed, mindful gaming experiences and decorating/puzzles, it's a must!
I like it but the price is high.
@granhalcon yeah it took me a while to figure out what the magnets were for the fridge w the little koala and heart lol. I was fuming. Lol.
