A New Limited-Time Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl Statue Distribution Event Has Begun

And Mystery Gift is not unlocked from the get-go
Seems dumb to make it expire on Dec 25th

So I guess screw everyone thats getting that game for xmas lol no reason why this couldnt last at least the 31

Would I be able to get this distribution on the 25th still if I were to have gotten the game on Christmas Day itself as a gift or no?

I mean it sucks that its ending before Xmas, But, its just Statues, if it was a pokemon I would 100% hate whats going on here, but You can get all these statues easy!

So In my opinion its not a big deal. And not much of a lost.

@Snatcher you have until 12am on the 25th so you have all morning xmas all afternoon on Xmas and all evening on Xmas lol

@Darkyoshi98 No, if it's until 12:00 a.m. on the 25th (which is Christmas day, and when most families open presents), then most kids won't be getting the statues, given that they won't be getting the game until about 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

@VoidofLight You are technically correct (which is the best kind of correct!) But I really doubt Nintendo are gonna say screw you, everyone who got this game for Christmas. Pretty sure it's meant to cover Christmas Day.

It expiring on December 25th is rather unfair given you unlock Mystery Gift by defeating the 3rd gym leader so the vast majority of people who get BDSP for Christmas won't be able to get these rewards even if the expiry time is right at the end of the day.

Hardest part is playing both and doing the mystery gifts. Unlocking is a pain...to just get the mystery gift option. I got Pearl done and now is Diamond.

@Grumblevolcano I doubt your the only one having grief over this - when I saw this announcement I was like what (&(&(& the deadline should be at least a year for someone to get it used. But this makes alot of buyers rush to get to that point to get the mystery gift and used the code.

@Grumblevolcano I mean, it depends on how fast you can power through these games. When I was playing through Platinum, nuzlocking it, I made it to the third gym in a couple of days time. This was only due to grinding as well, and not playing consistently. BDSP has EXP share, so it'd be much easier to power through from the looks of it.

@VoidofLight It's the timing of the limit deadline that is the problem. And some get's there faster then others. But if your waiting to open on Xmas day-I doubt your the only one that is using the Switch at that time. So it's not the time to get the gifts but whom is using the Switch as well that you must contend with.

@SwitchForce Yeah, I get that. The time limit is awful, and I can't see why they couldn't extend it to about one more day.

@RupeeClock to be fair, that’s how to unlock it early. You automatically unlock it after the Veilstone gym, no need to talk to anyone, it’s just added to your menu automatically then.

This is why I am glad I have a hacked Switch, you can inject all of these into the game even if you missed the dates.

@VoidofLight in my household we get a stocking that we are privy too as soon as we wake up, but the big presents are not until the afternoon. Sometimes its even 2pm depending on if my parents are forced to work, so that they can see us opening when they get home.

Not every household is the same.

@RupeeClock I agree that waiting until the third gym is a bit far. If the player has the dual pack in that case, they already know how to unlock it early, and that’s only 1 gym in so it’s not that far (in fact, that’s fairly normal for Mystery Gift).

On the other hand, a kid is only going to know about this promotion if they pay attention to stuff online, since the news about it is online and the code is online. If they go that far, they’ll probably easily find out how to unlock early, and it only takes an hour or two of gameplay to reach that point. They could certainly reach that point on Christmas. Most kids won’t even be aware they missed it though, so there’s really no big issue, plus everything here can be found in the Super Underground on your own (I’ve not spent long down there and have a few of these statues already).

@Grumblevolcano you get it after beating Roark who is the 1st Gym Leader. After that you can return to Jubilife and talk to the ILCA director on the 3rd floor of the TV Studio and choose the dialog needed to unlock it

@RupeeClock you can gain access to the building on your 2nd trip to Jubilife. You have to return after you get your 1st badge to proceed.

@Jokerwolf UT can't do anything online my friend was mad she couldn't connect her free rom of pokemon brilliant diamond to the internet...stealing games is pointless when you can't play them to the fullest

@Darkyoshi98 I just trade locally, plus as long as you don't use cheats pokemon caught in roms are legit and undetectable. I bought pokemon diamond and downloaded pearl because at this point in time it's ridiculous they release 2 versions of the same game especially especially a remake that's not worth $91 after taxes.
