While the rest of us have to wait until November 19th to get our hands on the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes on Nintendo Switch, some players - who appear to have acquired the game early from retailers - and are already on the cusp of completion.
Note: Possible spoilers ahead!
Yes, that's right - some trainers have now got to major moments towards the end of the game. As highlighted by certain leak accounts on Twitter, the "post-game" is now near and it will likely only be a matter of time before even more footage is uploaded.
Below you can see a tweet of a legendary capture, which we have blurred as a precaution:
Over on YouTube (at least for now), there's an 18 minute video showing off one of the game's "boss fight" and this same legendary reveal. It's accumulated almost 5,000 views at the time of writing. And again, to play it safe, we've blurred the following desktop screenshot:
There's even more video footage popping up on social platforms like Twitter and Reddit. If we hear about any other significant developments, we'll let you know. To get the full rundown on this story, check out our previous articles:

Not good. Games absolutely shouldn’t be getting leaked so early and what really irritates me is the hoops journalists have to jump through to get these codes when it’s the bloody retailers who’re the weakest link.
Again, why? It's not like I'm upset, but why are people doing this? Why can't they wait a couple of weeks? Don't they realize that they're going to get their pants sued off by Game Freak/TPC?
@thiz I've changed this line, but that's just what part of the video title was.
So definitely no Distortion World? 😢
Funny enough, neither of the two other high profile, spoiler YouTubers I've had games spoiled from have bothered to upload this footage. Slowly, but surely, we are getting there. Hopefully Nintendo and The Pokémon Company crack down on this.
@thiz Maybe, but I wouldn't solely put the blame on Nintendo. You still have these people, who are apparently desperate to find out the plot of a remake of a 15 year old game.
So far for the:
"Of course, we probably won't be featuring any of the videos or photos here on Nintendo Life (at least directly)"
You really can't resist the clicks, can you @nintendolife?
Whaaat? Nooo, Really? what a spoiler, oh and you put the (Not really) blurred photos that I can't totally tell what I'm looking at? What a spoiler, I'm going to get gamefreak to copyright strike these, These photos of a scene that is and will be in every pokemon game ever, Hell I didn't even know you got to catch these pokemon, Damn, Screw you internet.
(Still getting the game at some point, Never played them before)
@thiz exactly, don’t understand what’s the spoiler! Nobody cares for Dialga si ze he is already advertised on the box art! People wanna know if you can get other bonus content without mystery gifts/ distortion world, and if you can catch Arceus!
I am not advocating for any leaks but if you are afraid of leaks (of any kind) why are you even on the internet?
Do you want some kind of "parenting" mode so you are protected from leaks?
"News" sites always covered leaks. It is normal.
-MIDI music
-glitches
-exp share can't be turned off and it hasn't been balanced
-TMs no longer reusable
-pokemon amie stuff forced in
-slow battles
-gym and galactic teams made easier
-no platinum content
I am glad people leaked these games, now people can at least know what they are buying into.
@626b "I am glad people leaked these games, now people can at least know what they are buying into."
More like what I'm NOT buying into lol
As someone who has put houndtreds of hours into D and Pt it just doesn't seem worth it. So unless there is huge new post game content (which I really doubt) I'll skip those games, would be a first since Ruby.
Really excited for Legends Arceus though
So people have got the game early and are playing it, nothing to see here really, the logistics will always dictate some retailers will get the game early, and know somebody to give a copy to, just do not watch the leaks..
@mariomaster96 Same here yeah, I will probably just replay Platinum instead. It has more features and since BDSP doesn't have the QOL improvements from the last gens there's no reason to get it.
Great! Now I know to just get this for my collection and never play it!
Me to leakers: have you no decency for release dates, or just need attention maybe a hug from a bewear, other bear like Pokemon??? Really I like a jump ahead, but not a screw attack!
Uh-oh, I captured these guys like a decade ago. Time for Nintendo to batten down the hatches.
Yea, blurring the photos makes it even worse. Now I want to find them myself. Thanks NintendoLife.
@thiz
It cuts both ways. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company should have no problem with revealing key features of this remake considering they have a much larger game to be secretive about. At the same time though, these leakers are too informative for those who want to experience the game for themselves.
@thiz Oh. I was mistaken, then. But still, wouldn't it be better to wait a couple of weeks than to be potentially sued by Nintendo?
@thiz ?
My issue is not so much for leaking what's in the game. To a fair degree, it feels like most recent Pokemon releases hit this. As long as they are not in my face and only come up if I search for them, I'm good. Figure it's the same basic game as the previous versions and hopefully I'm surprised here and there.
I'm more concerned that people will get in trouble for leaking (I e. Sued). That seems to be a direction these seem to go, so if you have it early, just be careful... Play offline.
Oh no you spoiled the box legendaries being in the games!
I think it's fine for you to talk about them having leaked once but I don't think you need to talk about every single thing someone achieves in that leaked game
They really didn't at least one of the essays breaking these down eh?!
What I've seen online everyone pretty much hated the originals, but praise and love platinum. How could they not use that one as a base?!
Dataminers appear to have determined that Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were built using the Unity engine.
Modders are absolutely raving about this because it apparently makes the games super-easy to mod.
We could see versions of the game with drastic changes before the official release.
