One of the many exciting games arriving on the Nintendo Switch this month is Square Enix's rhythm-action game, Kingdom Hearts: Melody Of Memory.
To help promote this upcoming release, a bunch of new screenshots have been released - revealing a little bit more about the game. If you would like to try before you buy, there's also a demo you can download from the eShop.
By using a Summoning Star in a Field Battle Music Stage, and King Mickey will join your team as the fourth member.
In some Field Battle Music Stages, Disney characters can fight alongside you as a guest member of your team.
The Main Menu will vary based on which team you're using.
The Performer style uses more buttons than usual, providing players with a challenge. This is recommended for higher-level players who prefer more complex controls and button combinations.
Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory is out next week on 13th November. If you would like to learn more about the game, check out our feature with the development team. Will you be adding this game to your Switch collection? Leave a comment down below.

Can't wait for Square Enix to never port Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 to the Switch!
(No seriously Square, why, it's literally two PS2 games that's been ported to weaker systems, yet CD Project Red, a smaller studio than you, can port the entirety of the Witcher 3 on a Switch Cart, WTH? I get why Square Enix probably can't port over KH3, but why not KH1+2!? Even EA, one of the laziest publishers, can port a PS3 game to Switch. And Square can literally port a literal Ps5 game [kinda] onto the Switch, WHAT!?)
Sorry for the rant UwU
and I'm sorry for that face lol
As much as I love the KH series I’m not sold on this. I have most of the games in the series but I’d love to play the older games on Switch possibly 3 as well.
There's zero reason we can't get the main entries on Switch. Between their lack of real support for Nintendo and the long wait for Kingdom Hearts 3 I really lost interest in this series.
A Kingdom Hearts game like no other because they couldn't get the main ones on the switch.
No thanks. Let me no when it’s the main series coming to switch. Which I’m not getting my hopes up for.
Loved the demo. Can’t wait for this one.
This actually looks pretty good. Might pick it up on PS4 if the reviews are decent. Gives me a mix of Thearhythm and Persona 4 Dancing vibes if anything.
Honkers! LOL! (you all knwo what I'm doing)
@N8tiveT3ch lmao I can understand KH3 for sure but a bunch of PS2 ports being technically unfeasible is basically Nomura spitting on the console's install base lmao
Honestly I hope they do Story so Far on Steam first before anything else. I'd kill for KH with mods
I haven't played any KH games, so guess I won't understand much of the story, but I thought the demo was fun, so will be picking it up together with the SMB Game & Watch next Friday.
@Aerona With lack of support, you're just talking about KH right? Because Square Enix has been one of the best third party supporters of the Switch so far.
Off the top of my head:
There are some more.
But I agree with you that it would be nice to at least get the first two KH games.
Edit: Reading your comment again, I get that you're just talking about KH. 🙂
I enjoyed the demo, but far to expensive for what it is.
We can always trust square enix to give the fans exactly what they didn’t ask for.
I didn't really like the demo. Didn't have the tight, tactile feel that other action rhythm games like Runner have had. Just my opinion. The characters and button inputs/actions just felt very light/floaty and not necessarily intuitive to the all of the music across the difficulty levels.
@Quarth Yeah just KH. Lots of other great games from Square otherwise 🙂
I just Want the music..
@Aerona Yep! So many awesome franchises!
I love Kingdom Hearts, and I own almost all the entries of this series, but... I played the Demo of this one and it kinda rubbed me the wrong way on multiple levels... it doesn't even feel like the Switch can handel pressing 3 buttons at the same time at a constant rapid rate, half the time one of the tree buttons being pressed wouldn't register when I was playing the Demo, I doubt that is the case with the other system though.
Either way, this game is kinda su(ck)s
Disney for sure will be watching the sales figures for this game. I firmly believe Disney also is to blame for the lack of a new Star Wars game on Switch.
Hopefully Disney will change its mind eventually and finally begin supporting the Switch properly.
Either way, LEGO will suffice in the meantime thanks their excellent support for Nintendo.
Yeah I'm not paying 60 bucks for something that could be on the app store
I really want the main games on switch I first played them on PS3 it was a collection and I got it from a Family Dollar
