Jumping and rolling its way onto Nintendo Switch today is Super Skelemania, a Metroidvania from Grimorio Games and Hidden Trap.
Taking control of a cute little skeleton, you'll need to jump over pits of thorns, headbutt those pesky enemy spiders, and even roll your skull around like a bowling ball to make it across various platforms. The Nintendo eShop listing describes the game as a "single-sitting Metroidvania", so this could be perfect for those who don't have 60 hours to sink into the next big hit.
Inspired by the classics of the genre, the game is said to feature the Metroidvania traits you already know and love, including a character skill upgrading system which allows to player to reach previously unreachable parts of the world.
As noted above, Super Skelemania is launching on the Nintendo eShop today. You'll be able to pick it up for 4,99€ / $4.99.
What do you think? Could this be an ideal little getaway for you over the next couple of days? Let us know if you'll be giving this a whirl in the comments below.

Looks like it could be fun and minimal risk for a few quid.
Now let's get Dark Void Zero on Switch!
Gato Roboto and Gris only lasted 4 hours, and loved them (For Gris it was visually beautiful and Gato Roboto was the retro look).
Might keep an eye on this
Doesn't look bad. But if it's so short, I'll pass.
There's a few of those "bite sized Metroidvanias" out there now, not sure if that's what the genre fans want (I definitely prefer the longer, expansive ones).
What's wrong with making just levels, without backtracking, if you're going to make a short Metroidvania? Feels like the subgenre may be a little limiting in this regard, ironically, since all the levels have to fit together into a big map. With separate levels you can go however you want and not worry about world layout.
I want this as the brown color palette reminds me of blaster master. But it also looks kind of .... cheap or lacking? BUT for $5 I honestly may have to try it because I absolutely love Metroidvanias and it looks good enough for that.
$5 seems like a safe bet on this one
