It's Adventure Week in Pokémon GO, and that means there are plenty of uncommon Pokémon to catch, research tasks to complete, and other lovely bonuses to find while out and about.
In this guide, we'll go over everything you need to know to make the most out of Adventure Week. There are new shiny Pokémon to discover, limited-time Field Research tasks, and even changes to the buddy system.

Pokémon GO Adventure Week - Field Research Tasks
As well as having a new roster of Pokémon appearing more frequently, Adventure Week has also brought with it a whole new wave of Field Research tasks to complete.

Pokémon GO Adventure Week - New Shiny Pokémon And Frequent Encounters
For the duration of Pokémon GO Adventure Week, you may encounter a shiny Onix, Lileep or Anorith.
Niantic has confirmed that you'll also find Rock-type Pokémon like Geodude, Rhyhorn, Omanyte, Aron, Lileep, Anorith, and more appearing more frequently in the wild.
Pokémon GO Adventure Week - Raid Bosses
The Rock-type theme of Adventure Week has also spilt over to the Raids you'll find at your local Gyms. Cresslia is still appearing as a Tier 5 Raid, but other tiers have seen a significant shakeup.

Pokémon GO Adventure Week - New 2km Eggs
This week may well be a perfect time to splash some of your in-game cash on an egg incubator or two. You'll be able to hatch the following Rock-types from 2km eggs for the duration of the week:
- Onix
- Larvitar
- Lileep
- Anorith
- Shieldon
Pokémon GO Adventure Week - Buddy Candy, PokéStops, and Adventure Sync
There are several easy-to-miss bonuses available to all players for the duration of Adventure Week. Make sure to make the most of these welcome features:
- Earn 4× Buddy Candy all week: you'll notice your Buddy requires less walking distance than usual
- New PokéStops give you 10x XP: On your first spin of a new Photo Disc, you'll get more XP than usual
- Make sure to walk 50km: Trainers who have Adventure Sync activated and walk 50km will earn 50,000 Stardust and 15 Rare Candies
When Does Pokémon GO Adventure Week End?
Pokémon GO Adventure Week is running from Tuesday 4th June until Tuesday 11th June. It'll end at 1pm PDT / 4pm EDT / 9pm BST / 10pm CEST / 6am the following day AEST.

Oh the Aerodactyl reward is soooo needed! I have been sitting on "catch an Aerodactyl" for that Meltan quest chain for months!
I never manage to get over 50k walked and it’s chucking it out so that’s not gonna be happening ☔️
