E3 2018 is only a few days away, and every developer and publisher worth its salt is attempting to get eyes on its respective wares before all the big announcements start crippling the internet. SNK is following a similar train of thought, with an online presentation planned for its upcoming Neo Geo Mini retro console on 9th June at 7pm Pacific Time (that's 3am on 10th June for us here in the UK).
The Neo Geo Mini will come with 40 in-built games so there's plenty to discuss, although we're hoping to see the machine itself running and see just how clear that 3.5-inch screen looks when its powered up. If you're retro-minded like us, you'll definitely want to tune in.
Are you planning on picking up a Neo Geo Mini when it arrives in your respective region? What do you hope to see showcased later in the week? Share your thoughts below...

Please have a good variety and not 8 versions of King of Fighters.....
Just give us a price already.
3am eh? Sadly I must decline!
How much is the question
I'm more interested in the game list between this and the the SNK collection coming out on Switch. I think if they are similar I would rather have the SNK Collection on the Switch.
I fear the 3.5" display might be a bit small for my bad eyesight. :-/
It continues to amaze me, the following that Neo Geo has. There were no arcades in my town growing up, and I didn't even learn the Neo Geo existed until the internet became more common. If any of the stores in my area carried it, I don't remember ever seeing it. Maybe Metro Detroit was just some weird "Neo-Geo-less" area. So I have absolutely zero nostalgia for the system and games.
@wratih9 I'm pretty sure the SNK collection for Switch is of their pre-Neo Geo games, so there won't be any crossover.
I like the idea of an snk mini but think this will probably be more expensive because it has a screen. Also as its so tiny its not the kind of portable I would use. if this isnt too expensive I may consider it
@BionicDodo it is pre Neo Geo I had a look at the games list last night the collection has games like ikari warriors prehistoric isle and p.o.w
@Heavyarms55
I didn't know about the existence of a Neo Geo console as a kid either, but I did know about SNK's games. Metal Slug and King of Fighters were HUGE at my local arcades.
Samurai Shodown III and IV. And Mark of the Garou. And King of Fighters 98. That's my jam.
Please, please get the price right, SNK... $60-$80ish where you should probably be...
I'd put it at $100 due to the 30+ arcade games the Data East My Arcade has as it's most comparable.
@Heavyarms55
I barely played them either growing up, but I’ve gotten highly into then with the Switch. The games are very high quality arcade games that I think anyone who enjoyed arcade games in the 80s or 90s would absolutely love, especially if you love schmups & beat em ups.
They are truly fantastic offerings...I wouldn’t necessarily give this a buy, but the downloads on the Switch are very good to start with.
If it comes with an affordable price then I may get one but if it's over $100 then I won't bother with it. To me a plug and play device should never reach the three digit mark.
@DandaraLHH Point is, you had a local arcade.
It's cool but after downloading a ton of ACA games on my Switch this just feels like a novelty item.
@Heavyarms55
Yup, sorry to hear you hadn't.
I really want this to be good but I think it will be;
Overpriced
Have a poor quality screen
Include a cheap joystick and buttons, plus the joystick itself will be too small for extended play
Unfortunately I think it looks like a cash-grab, Neo-Geo was this mythical imported console with insane game prices growing up but it featured in mags like Mean Machines a lot so was something I always wanted but was unattainable for me at age 12.
@wratih9
I'm under the impression the collection that comes to the Switch is mostly about SNK's games that were released before the Neo Geo.
