The award-winning puzzle game Splitter Critters is heading to the Switch later this month, and the concept looks very intriguing indeed.

Splitter Critters is described as a 'freeform puzzle game', putting the power of scenery manipulation into your hands. You'll be splitting and rearranging the game world to bring faraway platforms together, move deadly lasers out of the way, and create floating swimming pools to guide alien critters back to their spaceship.

You can see some of the action in the trailer above, and we also have a list of handy features for you to check out below.

Features
- A unique mechanic that's deceptively hard to master
- Mind-bending puzzles with a variety of creative solutions
- Different types of critters each with their own quirks and abilities
- A variety of biomes and planets to rescue critters from, each with their own immersive soundscape
- Environmental mechanics such as laser beams, reflective surfaces, liquids, moving platforms and more!

Splitter Critters will be available from the Nintendo Switch eShop on May 15th, priced at $6.99 / €5.49 / £4.99.
