Akupara Games has announced that Chicken Assassin: Reloaded will be smashing its way to the Nintendo Switch eShop this summer, and the announcement trailer above is definitely something to behold. "E - I - E - I - OO!!"
You'll play as Mean Mcallister, the meanest, baddest, funkiest chicken we've ever seen, as he fights his way through multiple hordes of enemies to save his kidnapped girlfriend, Candy. You must punch, shoot, and slice your way to Candy’s heart in a story full of over-the-top humour that boasts colourful enemies and attractive levels and environments.
You'll also encounter special bosses along the way and, as you progress, you can upgrade Mean with various fighting styles and skills, access an arsenal of weapons to dish out some serious punishment, and customise clothing that boosts your stat attributes.

Well, that sure is... different. Could he be a distant future cousin of the raging chickens of Hyrule? Friendly and touching soundtrack as well...

Initial image made me think of Rocketbrids: Hardboiled Chicken, but it doesn't appear to be anything like that. Though it was hard to see from the trailer constantly being on fire and zooming in all the time :/
This kind of looks like One Finger Death Punch, where your character is constantly in the center of the screen and all you do is press the attack button at the correct time. Basically the simplest for of brawler possible.
...That was a lot of screaming.

@SmaggTheSmug Ugh, I think you're right. These types of games are so friggin lazy from a developer's standpoint. Even my crappy attempt at a mobile game had left-right movement.

That music in the trailer alone makes this game a hard pass and I will ensure it never sees the light of day on my switch
