The Switch is somewhat hard to find these days thanks to the huge demand, but if you're willing to pay a little extra and get some additional tat with your machine, then these two new themed bundles from Nintendo UK might tempt you.
The online store has the "Hyrule Hero Pack" and "Racing Pack: Second Lap" for sale. The former comes with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and a swanky Breath of the Wild shirt, and costs £339.99. The latter is bundled with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and an amusing Luigi Death Stare shirt for £329.99. The Zelda pack is available now but the Mario Kart one is on back-order until June.
If neither of those bundles take your fancy and you don't mind waiting a while, then this Splatoon 2 bundle on Amazon might be more of interest. It doesn't come with a natty shirt but is a little cheaper than Nintendo UK's bundles.

Still won't be buying a Switch for some considerable time. Still nothing really worthwhile playing and spending €400+ for the machine and Pro controller(plus other hidden extras) that can't be played on Wii U.
looks at June 16th
Alright sunshine. Keep telling yourself its a machine that's only for the 13 million who knew what a Wii U was.
Alright Nintendo, keep telling yourself the Wii U is a machine that never existed and that 13 million loyal customers don't matter when everyone else passed you by or ridiculed you.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE kinda like how Microsoft pretends Vista never happened. 😂
@SLIGEACH_EIRE You can't be that poor?
@Judgedean It's nothing to do with being poor. I could easily buy it. My gaming collection is probably bigger than most people on this site. I buy more than I should really. I've all the solus versions of Wii U games like Star Fox Xero, Bayonetta 1&2, Xenoblade Chronicles X. But then I've the Collector's Editions of them. I've the First Print Edition of Bayonetta 1&2. I own 2 Collector's Editions of Xenoblade Chronicles X, 2 copies of Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water, numerous copies of Zelda Twilight Princess HD Collector's Edition. And the list goes on, you name it, I've got it. I've over 35 indie games and dozens of VC games on there as well. Again, not only do I own them digitally but again physically where possible, e.g. Shovel Knight, Teslagrad, Book of Unwritten Tales 2.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Keep telling yourself anybody at this site cares when you get a Switch.
Good bundle but shame about the price. It's nice at least you can get both these games on the Wii u
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Would you buy a Switch to play with a fox in a box Samiam?
Seriously, I'm imagining you being buried with your WiiU after a long and successful life of avoiding Nintendo's consoles unless they realize their mistake and make the WiiU+ instead. Finally with the multi gamepad support we all wanted!
"but the Mario Kart one is on back-order until June."
Checks calendar...
I do appreciate that Ntinedo called the MK8D port bundle "Second Lap". Sounds better than "Racing Pack: The One with the Port".
I am a bit confused why each bundle comes w/ a game and a t-shirt but 1 is $10 less than the other. Is MK8D $10 less than Zelda:BotW?
I'm not a big fan of being forced to bundle games when people want to buy a hard to find console, but really if you want a Switch you probably want 1 of these 2 games, it's not like they are force bundling 1 2 Switch for an extra $40. If the bundled price is the same as the game and switch, making the t-shirt free, I'm ok w/ it. I ave no idea what a Switch costs in Pounds though. Or Euros for that matter.
For cryin' out loud, enough w/ Slig bashing already. Guy posts 2 comments expressing his opinion - NEWS FLASH this is a comment session for expressing opinions - and half the comments are attacking him. Did any of you people replying to him even read the freakin article?!?!
Here's the last sentence cut and pasted:
"Let us know if any of these offers have convinced you to part with your cash by posting a comment below."
He did exactly that.
Here's a tip, if you dont' like what he has to say, or just don't want to read his comments, or whatever, then IGNORE him. It's very easy and simple to do. Under any of his posts, where it says
Reply Report Ignore
click on Ignore and you'll never have to read his posts again, and the rest of us won't have to read through all of the compeltley unnecessary and nasty comments. There's only 8 comments not including mine and his and 4 of those 8, half, are replies to him. Now only 2 seem bad to me, but thats' still 2 bad comments out of a total of 12. And it's like this every single article.
So please, if your only post is to attack Slig, just click Ignore and spare us all your ridiculous off topic comments.
To be on topic - my 2 kids and I are waiting on Switch until the holidays. Sure, we'd take one for free, but why buy 1 now? We bought a Wii U 1 week before they announced that very cool WWHD bundle AND the $50 price drop. So we'll wait. Not expecting a price drop this year, they can't keep it on shelves as it is, but a Mario Odyssey bundle for Christmas sure would be nice.
We just got a PS4 for Christmas, an X1 in March (half price Target clearance w/ 3 games) and Zelda BotW on Wii U. Got MK8 day 1 on Wii U and the season pass. Had Switch released in November we might have gotten one then instead of the PS4, but we'll wait, our backlogs are nearly endless, and there is nothing to lose by waiting. If ARMS online is dead by December, well that's on us. We already played Splatoon enough, will probably skip 2.
@rjejr MK*D is £10 less, yes.
@BLP_Software MK*D is £10 less, yes.
Thanks, that would explain it, and make sense. It actually brightens my day a little every time Nintnedo does something that makes sense. Sadly it doesn't happen very often though.
@rjejr that's what I did, and my Nintendolife experience has become much, much better as a result! The ignore button is great for allowing people to experience this website in their own way, while allowing other people to female dog, whine, and moan ad nauseam about their poor, neglected WiiU, and how they'll never get a Switch because reasons.
Have a great Friday, everyone!
The best deal I found was £319.99 for the console and BOTW game in Smyths toy store, way better than the deal mentioned here i think
@SomeWriter13 I keep meaning to try the Ignore button on someone but I'm afraid there will be a big fight and I'll miss half of it. I figure by now certainly at least a few people have hit Ignore on me and I'm a happier person for it, less obnoxious replies. If I were Slig I'd just delete any email from people I didn't know. Which is what I do know if I'm in bad mood, save them for weeks later when it's too late to care or get in an argument. I have about 250 of them unread now, sometimes I just never read them.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Not having a go at you at all, but you come across as someone that loves the gaming/Nintendo industry, contributes to NL regularly, and probably the must recognisable poster here. I'm just surprise you haven't bought a Switch yet - that's all. It's a great device and it's even surprising me how much I'm enjoying it. Disclosure: No affiliation with Nintendo.
@rjejr 👏 I'm with you regarding the whole @SLIGEACH_EIRE obsession. I think we'd miss him if he wasn't here to be perfectly honest!
@MartyFlanMJFan I just don't get the obsession. I think some people feel the need to reply to him even if they have nothing to say. And that's fine I guess, but some people are just serious jerks. And I hate hypocritical jerks who think their post complaining about somebody else complaining somehow makes sense. And those are usually the first to comment, #8 and 11 here for example. i thought #4 and 5 were funny myself. But thats too many overall.
@MartyFlanMJFan @rjejr Thank you both for the fair and impartial comments. There are quite a number of people on this site who have an unhealthy obsession with me. Particularly the person with comment #8. He's been warned previously to stop, did stop for a while but is slowly back at it. I ignore them, hit the report button but nothing is done about it. Their comment has nothing to do with the story, just another personal slagging attack.
I love Nintendo and their games. Absolutely amazing experiences, in every generation, BOTW being the latest example. Super Mario Maker before that. But they're not infallible, I've slowly realised that over the years and don't agree with some of their decisions. There's reasons why the Switch is out now and Wii U effectively died at birth.
I've had every Nintendo home console except the the Wii U its a great console was planning to get one but when the switch was announced I decided against it im so glad I did brilliant piece of kit future ready but if I had purchased a Wii u id be waiting for the switch to have more software even though the ports are much better quality
@SLIGEACH_EIRE @rjejr I actually love reading Sligeach's comments! They're normally very insightful. I just like to poke a little fun.-serious.
I just hope you don't avoid the whole Switch generation forever, especially with barrels of Switches lying all over game stores in Ireland. I hear there are game store owners crying because they don't know where to put them all. -sarcasm.
@rjejr @MartyFlanMJFan If you really want to know why I do what I do, it's quite simple: trolling a troll is fun. I like having fun. It's the reason I play video games, too.
There's another reason, too. I kinda take it personally when someone calls me a liar when he knows full well he endorsed the idea that owning a Wii U is like being the victim of domestic violence. Jokingly I'm sure, but I'm also sure that's not an appropriate subject to joke about. But rather than admit he was joking, he's tried to convince everyone else that I concocted a huge lie just to attack him. He even deleted the comments in question, then gave someone else the link to try to prove he was innocent. I suppose he was hoping nobody would wonder how he could remember a thread if he'd never commented in it. Like I said, I kinda take that personally.
The grey version came back in stock recently, Nintendo is doing a good job to restock the switch at least once a month
Or if they don't take your fancy ShopTo has the Grey Switch in stock and has had it in stock for a while now http://www.shopto.net/nintendo/switch/SWHW01-nintendo-switch-grey-console
@rjejr Comment #28, another person that can't take anyone saying anything negative.
https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2016/07/gamestop_enjoys_a_sales_spike_as_it_lures_in_pokemon_go_players
Have a look at that link above for a flavour of his comments. Tried to get me banned a year ago as well. For what, being a dissenting voice?
https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2016/07/say_hello_to_the_site_which_lets_you_find_rare_monsters_near_you_in_pokemon_go#comment3582909
Loads of people don't like Gamestop but he singled me out. I wouldn't exactly call them a very active member on this site(44 comments).
@rjejr Exactly, I may not agree with Slig but Slig Attacking is Wrong and Needs to Stop. Nothing Wrong from being different from the Crowd and having a Opinion
@SLIGEACH_EIRE You're welcome. Only hope i didn't make things worse. Few weeks back I thought it was a faze that would last a few days but it's been ceaseless. Your inbox must be a nightmare.
Anybody defending Gamestop should be banned. jk I dont like them but I shop there myself, bought my kids some really cool glasses on clearance, Dr Who mug and Pokemon tinted glass. Don't find them any better or worse than anywhere else, retail is retail.
Don't see how anybody could try to get you banned, you don't curse and you don't attack people.
On the bright side, E3 is in about a week, so maybe people will start talking about games rather than attack you. One can only hope.
@JoeyJoey95 I'll defend anybody who has to put up w/ a constant stream of posts like this -
"Keep telling yourself anybody at this site cares when you get a Switch."
That's the entire post. No discussion. No little or or jk, just a really stupid post. And I think it's a stupid post b/c when anybody says "cares" but makes a post anyway, well if you don't care then why are you posting? And that's not even pointing out the fact that the article ended w/ the question - " ..any of these offers have convinced you to part with your cash...?" so all Slig was doing was answering the question. I've never Ignored or Reported anyone, not my job, but the amount of Slig bashing seems disproportionate to his number of posts.
And I do recall him getting into a lot of fights w/ a lot of people, but when you are constantly having an inbox full of negativity, how else is a person supposed to respond? Enough is enough, and I think the Slig bashing is way past it's lifespan at this point. People just feel too empowered w/ that Reply button I think.
Oh, and I have had my share of run-ins w/ Slig, I think everyone on this website has, but people just need to move on.
And it did occur to me that Slig could change his name, I even considered recommending it to him, but that's a little too much "blaming the victim" for me. People shouldn't have to change to keep from being assaulted or insulted. NL can ban him if they want, but my feeling is all his hostility was defensive, he doesn't start attacking people unless they attack him first.
@rjejr Also, Nintendo Life instituted an ignore feature pretty much for him, meaning both for him to use on others and others to use on him. Yet he doesn't use it; he can exactly reference my comment. It's almost like he wants the reaction.
@JoeyJoey95 Consider it done.
@JoeyJoey95 @rjejr I used to browse the site regularly without an account, but I made an account specifically to Ignore certain users. They can spew whatever opinions they want (as is their right), but they no longer have the power to bum me out.
Some people don't want to leave it at that, though, hence all the bashing. While it may be a right, free speech goes both ways and does not exclude an individual from consequences. If you keep pooping on everyone's parade with unusually negative and honestly quite obviously passive-aggressive behavior, expect retaliation.
As for me, I believe in my avatar's message wholeheartedly.
@PanurgeJr I always assumed the Ignore feature was for Quorthon, everyone ignored him, so he stopped posting.
I do think I recall the cancer fight, was that recent? Yeah, bad form, that's for sure. But as you said - "although to be fair it was because he was told he was more unpleasant than chemotherapy" so I do feel like a lot of his personal attacks are defensive in nature.
I don't think the Ignore button is for people who are being attacked so that they choose not to defend themselves, that's what the Report button is for. Ignore is for when you don't want to read someones comment b/c it doesn't apply to you.
I'm sure Slig has called people liars, even unprovoked, if he thought they were lieing, but from where I'm reading, he's taken more abuse than he's handed out. And yes, he's probably stepped over the line at times, and maybe he even deserved to be banned at times, but recently, he seems to be under attack way more than he's attacking anyone, and that's what I was reacting too. I don't think anyone should have to hit Ignore if they are being attacked, and some people react aggressively, too aggressively, but if as you say it's been going on for a year why are people still replying to him. It's simple, don't reply. How easy is that?
I was never explicitly defending anything Slig says anyway, my point was everyone replying. 4 out of the first 8 comments, give the guy a break. Ignore his posts by hitting a button or just don't read them, his posting on here should not affect anyone in the slightest, it's NL's website, not ours, if they dont' want him posting here that's there call, I'm not a big fan of torches, pitchforks and storming the castle.
@JoeyJoey95 Just replied to this above, #39, and I get where you are coming from, he's always in the top five, and he usually has something negative to say, that's his right, but people still shouldn't reply just to be nasty. If you want to reply to him, reply, he usually replies back and I dont' mind people having intelligent conversations, but half the replies to him are just attacks and that should stop. Not just towards him but towards anyone and everyone. Replying just to attack is stupid. It's complaining about complaining.
Whats' easier - skipping over 1 or 2 comments by Slig, or having to skip over those plus all of the replies? It's easy to skip over Slig, his name is long, but ti's harder to skip over all of the replies b/c you have to read them to seem his name.
@SomeWriter13 "but I made an account specifically to Ignore certain users"
That's one of the funniest, and brilliant, things I've read on here.
And I know why people do it, "Reply" gives people a lot of power, I just wish they'd stop. It's easier for me to skip 1 comment than 8.
@rjejr true! I think things are definitely getting out of hand. It's become a reputation issue, I think. Even if the person constantly being targeted now has posted something positive, they'll still get heavy flak for it. I suppose it's people looking at that person's body of work (posts?) as opposed to whatever they post now.
Since that person has mostly gotten away with comments that carry an inflammatory tone and is often quite passive-aggressive, (really, a "another strike for the WiiU" comment on a SWITCH article?) then other people have picked up on the act and have done the same...and are also getting away with it!
I cannot say, nor is it right for me to say, how the mods can fix this issue. I lack the clout and the tenure to do so. I do know that some form of intervention on a community level won't hurt, though.
Again, I will refer to the message of my avatar. We can all choose to ignore and just enjoy the site our own way!
@JoeyJoey95 noted! (And yes, I do have a Switch!) Was kind of waiting to get my younger brother his own Switch though so we'd be first on each other's lists (like our 3DS!). I shall add you once he gets one! Cheers!
@SomeWriter13 I'm really hoping that E3 is good for Nitneod so we can all turn positive. Though so many people seem to hate that Mario v Rabbids game it may not. 1 more week.
@JoeyJoey95 Was planning on trading in my Xbox One during a Black Friday weekend deal for a Switch as we have Zelda and MK8 on Wii U so don't need one until Mario Odyssey, XC2 and probably that Fire Emblem Warriors game. With any luck they'll have some in stock by then.
@rjejr me too! I think Nintendo's slowly rolling out the big guns, so I'm not too worried if the upcoming E3 only showcases a couple of them!
