Pokémon GO may no longer be the phenomenon it was in Summer 2016, but it still has a sizeable and active base of players. For those still following every event and trying to catch 'em all, then, accessories can play their part in making the hunt easier.
We already have the Pokémon GO Plus, of course, but recently we took a look at the Datel Go-tcha, a third-party accessory that offers an alternative for catching 'mon without staring at your phone screen. Now our YouTube man Alex has shared his perspective on this 'automatic' Pokémon catcher. Check it out below.
is this the sort of accessory that interests you, or does it detract from the whole point of playing Pokémon GO? Let us know what you think in the comments.

Who wants free off-topic music?
Looks like it's worth the purchase. I guess you can simply cover the ugly bracelet with stickers/markers...
That intensely salty subtitle though...
One question - does it have a watch, aka tell time?
I never understood how Pokemon Go Plus can be $35 when there are several kids smart watches on Amazon w/ full color screens and work w/ smartphones for the same price.

Lots of watches at lots of price points. Both this and Go+ seem expensive to me by comparison.

@rjejr No it doesn't. It is pretty basic and only supports pokemon Go stuff. No time or anything like that.
I got one of these about 3 days ago. Can confirm it works really, really well. i haven't touched Pokemon GO for months due to not having time to walk while looking at my phone and also the risk of bumping into people etc... The auto catch is superb. Works very well, I feel it catches and uses Pokestops very quickly too. It connects like an actual pokemon Go device and is so nice to use. being able to walk about doing whatever you do, coming back home and seeing what you've caught is awesome, and has brought me back into the Pokemon Go experience.
Oh and if it's the wristband that bothers you fear not as these straps are alternatives that fit the device perfectly! @DoctorOverbuild Thanks. Guess that explains why Alex didn't mention it. My kid has a Minecraft band that stores all of his MC stuff plus tells time and lets him make his own little graphic. I think it was about $28 on Amazon. I just don't understand how this and Go+ don't tell time. People talk about gamers not wanting a dedicated portable b/c they have a smartphone, are PGo players supposed to wear this next to their watch? What can a watch cost, 33 cents?
Thanks again.
It does ruin the fun, but to be honest, the fun died just like 2016 did.
@rjejr No worries, i admit there are times I would have liked to check the time on it!
