October 4th will see the release of a new mash-up pack for Minecraft: Wii U Edition. It follows the introduction of the Tumble Mini Game and a mysterious update, both of which went live recently.
The Chinese Mythology Mash-Up pack contains 41 new skins, 13 special music tracks and a new arena for the Battle Mini Game, all of which take inspiration from Chinese folklore.
Here's the official PR:
In the new Minecraft: Console Edition Chinese Mythology Mash-Up, come explore ancient temples hidden among the cherry blossoms and survive the night at the Great Wall. In this new mash-up, you will be able to visit an exquisitely created pre-made world. Wander through the streets of an ancient great city, marvel at the dragons that dwell around the high mountains, contemplate on your crafting within a mythical monastery and just enjoy the view as you walk through fields and discover how mobs would look in ancient China. This mash-up also brings you 41 new skins to choose from and 13 themed music tracks for your worlds made using this pack.
On top of all that, the Chinese Mythology Mash-up also includes a very special map for the Battle mini game which we released back in June. Just look out for the dragons!

...and more!
Wow, I'd buy Minecraft WiiU if I had a WiiU for this. I am really into Chinese mythology!
I'll pick this up for $4.48 once Target starts to clearance out the rest of its Wii U section, probably not long now. I'll pay $9.98 to make sure I get a copy before it's gone. I wonder if Gamefly will dump most of their stock as well? Everybody is probably waiting to see if NX has a disc slot to see if it is b/c w/ Wii U games. If it is, maybe they'll keep it around a bit longer. The wait continues.
Who knows, Microsoft may end up supporting Wii U longer than Nintendo does. #justtellus
What happened to the minecon skins that were due last Thursday?

Just waiting on a Legend of Zelda Minecraft Edition now...
@dizzy_boy
They released.
Hey, cool. Microsoft is one of the best supporters of Wii U right now!
@rjejr I'm with you. Might go for this if/when the price plummets on a clearance.
@aaronsullivan Microsoft one of the best supporters of Wii U?
Damn, the world is upside down!
@aaronsullivan " if/when the price plummets on a clearance"
I'll let you know. Target has had several good Wii U games on clearance over the past few weeks. Can't recall them all but XCX and Hyrule Warriors and at least 2 others. The current Nintendo aisle will probably shrink to make room for NES Classic Mini. I bought the re-skinned boy and girl inkling amiibo for $3.88 each. I was rescuing them from the over 100 (I counted ) AC amiibo. And I will go back and use them in Splatoon, I always wanted to. I also always thought those 3 challenges should be sold as $5 each DLC for people who don't like, didn't want, or couldn't find amiibo, even if $5 was a bit much, still better than $13, so for $3.88 each I got toys - which will hopefully work w/ Spla2oon NX, and maybe Subspace Emissary 2 - and my challenges to play.
@rjejr I was tempted by those low-priced amiibo but I already had the 3-pack Picked up a couple Disney Infinity clearance things as incentives for chores... but they haven't been earned taken yet. Many AC amiibo that could begin to clear out a bit with the new AC refresh on 3DS. If nothing else, they sort of advertise how adorable those little AC animals are, though.
@aaronsullivan I think they would have to give ACNL away for free to clear out all of those amiibo. Probably not even then. So. Many. AC. amiibo. Not even clearance prices could get rid of them all.
Picked up the new Mickey for my niece for $4.18, but I doubt she'll ever play the game but its s a nice pose. I still have Tinkerbell, Yoda and Bob Fett in the boxes w/ clearance stickers on them. Something about the game dieing made all of us not want to play anymore. I still keep an eye out for Nemo and the Dory set, I'm curios to play those, but only at half price.
