Earlier this month, we reported on Studio Pixel's next game, Gero Blaster. The Cave Story developer's new outing is a 2D side-scrolling action title which places you in the role of a trigger-happy frog.
It's being pitched for release on iOS, but around the time of the announcement Nicalis' Tyrone Rodriguez tweeted a photo of the game apparently running on a 3DS XL, suggesting that a port was in production.
It would seem that Studio Pixel — run by the famous Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya — is currently undecided, as Rodriguez has once again taken to Twitter to urge 3DS users to pester the Japanese developer for a port to the console.
We can only guess at how many tweets Amaya is getting right now. Will you be lending your voice to the pestering?

I would, but I refuse to make a Twitter account. Gero Buster does look like a pretty cool game though
I made a twitter but I never used it. Looks like ill have a use now!
This reminded me to check MingyJongo's Twitter. Good lord look at Chris Seavor's new game. D:
tweeted.
I've tweeted a message about cave story + but he doesn't respond, so I will not participate because of that lack of consideration.
Will start pestering Pixel as soon as Nicalis gets Cave Story to the EU eShop.
Yes, bring us all of your games in EU first !
Why bother with that if they never release it in EU ?
I'll probably stick with the iOS version, but for the eShop's sake I hope it comes there.
Is making a game for IOS but hasn't decided if he will bring it to a real handheld gaming device
Respect -1 for Pixel. I won't play your game if its only on IOS. Touch controls ruin pretty much any conventional platformers on there. Talented devs who already develop for PC and Handhelds/consoles should stop supporting the IOS market. Its a ****ty market that is extremely overcrowed, with messed up pricing/pricing models, No buttons, etc.
IOS has some good games but they are buried under mountains of ripoffs and poorly made ****, and even then most the good ones are extremely linear and short or a puzzle/Tower defense game.
Find me a platformer that matches the quality of super mario world, a first person game that matches the quality of metriod prime, or 3D action adventure game that matches the quality of any given 3D zelda game on IOS.
It won't happen.

If I had a Twitter acct. I would, but I don't so I won't. However, I would love to play another action platformer by Pixel! I think the eshop Cave Story is one of the best games available on 3DS.
@Odnetnin royal fail
We'll see if they can make this game anywhere near as good as Cave Story. I do support the possibilty of it coming to the eshop for both the Wii U and 3DS.
Don't have a twitter account...
I'll make one!
I'd like to show the name of this article to someone who has no idea about anything related to the internet or gaming. That'd be fun.
Do it, Pixel. Do it!!
I would do if Cave Story came to 3DS in PAL but seeing as that is not happening don't see the point. Good thing Shin'en support the PAL eshop!
@NImH I didn't know it was considered a failure to want to play a game on a system other than one made by Nintendo, yet still support its release on a Nintendo platform. Or do you just have an irrational hatred of iOS?
@lebad This
After reading an article on Kotaku on how Pixel made Cave Story, I'd be more than happy to support any games that come from him.
