Eat my dust, loser!

We all know that the Nintendo DS has been a massive success for its parent company but the latest figures from Japan still make for stunning reading; the likeable handheld has now surpassed the PS2 in terms of Japanese sales.

To put this into perspective, the PS2 has sold millions of units since its release several years ago and is widely regarded as one of the best selling consoles of all time. For the DS to pass the Japanese sales of the PS2 in a relatively short period of time is quite an achievement and shows just how mad gamers in the East are going for Nintendo products. This kind of dominance hasn’t been witnessed since the crazy days of the Famicom/NES.

Hopefully Nintendo can keep the momentum going in 2008 and continue to support the DS fully with quality product.
