Mario Kart World: 'South Sea' Collectibles - Crown City, DK Spaceport, Koopa Troopa Beach

If you're after P Switches and Peach Medallions in and around Crown City, DK Spaceport and Koopa Troopa Beach, you've come to the right place. It's time to head to the South Sea Region, the very bottom of the Free Roam map in Mario Kart World.

You'll be surfing around and city sightseeing to find all of the collectibles here, and some can be pretty tricky. Other regions, including a map breakdown can be found by scrolling through our P Switch and Peach Medallion hubs, if you're looking to get everything, that is!

P Switch Missions - South Sea

South Sea P Switch Map

A mix of cities and seas, the South Sea is the very southern part of the map — if it wasn't obvious. Covering Crown City, DK Spaceport, and Koopa Troopa Beach, you'll want to bring shades, sunscreen, and the best jet skis in town. Oh, and a map — which we've got prepare for you here.

All South Sea Mission Locations

Mission 1

Mission: "Pick up blue coins... and maybe a donut at the end?"

Location: Southeast of Mario Kart Circuit and the Wild West on a rock in a field of Spikes

Mission 2

Mission: "Take the river route to the city!"

Location: East of Mario Kart Circuit, on a rock below the bridge next to the river

Mission 3 (Crown City)

Mission: "Dodge Bowser's minions on your way to the goal!"

Location: Behind a wall on the northwestern entrance to Crown City

Mission 4 (Crown City)

Mission: "Ride the urban railings to collect blue coins!"

Location: On a shop roof in northern Crown City. Rail ride the green pipe in the back alley for easy access

Mission 5 (Crown City)

Mission: "Grab that parking spot! Fast!"

Location: Start at Coin Coffer's Bank (marked by the large golden trophy), accelerate east towards the red bridge in the distance, and Charge Jump to wall ride onto the first building on the left. Ride the rails around the corner, then brake after the jump to arrive at the P Switch

Mission 6 (Crown City)

Mission: "Take a parkour tour of Crown City!"

Location: On a brown building's roof in the south of Crown City, Charge Jump through the window of the building behind for access

Mission 7 (Crown City)

Mission: "Race through dinosaur-filled streets!"

Location: Squeeze past a green barrier at Crown City's southern bend and fins this Switch on a grassy verge

Mission 8 (Crown City)

Mission: "Collect blue coins in a tricky rail-riding challenge!"

Location: At the start of the long bridge leaving Crown City

Mission 9

Mission: "Bounce your way to Koopa Troopa Beach!"

Location: Halfway along the bridge between Crown City and Dino Dino Jungle and the Jungle Safari Region

Mission 10

Mission: "Trick your heart out in this challenging trial!"

Location: On the end of a bridge next to a small island between Crown City and Jungle Safari Region

Mission 11 (Koopa Troopa Beach)

Mission: "Rail ride the ropes to the top!"

Location: On the sand, north of Koopa Troopa Beach

Mission 12 (Koopa Troopa Beach)

Mission: "Brave sand and surf in a beachside race!"

Location: On the beach east of Koopa Troopa Beach

Mission 13 (Koopa Troopa Beach)

Mission: "Take a dangerous voyage to the distant city!"

Location: On the westernmost island of Koopa Troopa Beach

Mission 14

Mission: "Save blue coins from the waves of the whirlpool!"

Location: Middle of the whirlpool, west of Faraway Oasis

Mission 15 (Crown City)

Mission: "Dash through traffic on the covered roads!"

Location: Right by the north tunnel in Crown City. Head to the beach/wharf area, then drive right to spot the P Switch

Mission 16 (Crown City)

Mission: "Test your endurance in a race all over town!"

Location: Head to the main road in Crown City and look for a large building on the left with two small trees in front o f it. This is the Business Hotel, which also has a button in front of it.

Mission 17 (Crown City)

Mission: "Gather blue coins on the park's twists and turns!"

Location: In Crown City, head to the west side of the city to a public garden; you'll see a sign for West Greens Park, and the Switch is behind that sign.

Mission 18 (Koopa Troopa Beach)

Mission: "Collect blue coins on the floating obstacle course!"

Location: Drive south from Koopa Troopa Beach to the large orange coned area and this P Switch is floating on the left side of the mini course

Mission 19 (Koopa Troopa Beach)

Mission: "Race around a tribute to Koopa Beach 1!"

Location: Out west from Koopa Troopa Beach, you'll seem some sand in the shallows that makes up the shape of a small course, which is home to a button

Mission 20 (DK Spaceport)

Mission: "Race back through DK Spaceport!"

Location: At the very top of DK Spaceport. You can get here by riding through the whole course or by going to the bottom level and taking a pipe

Mission 21 (DK Spaceport)

Mission: "Ride the pipes to get the launchpad's blue coins!"

Location: On the first floor of the course, underneath a metallic blue structure. Go up the first sect of stairs on the very base level of the course and then head to the centre over some grating.

Mission 22 (DK Spaceport)

Mission: "Remember the classic DONKEY KONG!"

Location: On the second floor of the course. Go up two sets of stairs at the base of the course, and you'll see the button in the corner.

Mission 23

Mission: "Race to get ahead of the explosives!"

Location: On the corner of the tip of mainland just outside of DK Spaceport. It's next to some pipes.

Mission 24

Mission: "Trick off vehicles on the way to the spaceport!"

Location: Next to a forklift truck and some sidesteppers outside of DK Spaceport. Follow the road west from the course and approach the construction site area.

Mission 25

Mission: "Practice precision driving in pursuit of blue coins!"

Location: Right next to some garages with spaceport symbols on them west of DK Spaceport. Head there by following the western road from the course.

Tips: You have to trick off of the first grind rail to reach the coin on the music blocks.

Mission 26

Mission: "Honk if you like to gather blue coins!"

Location: On a rock right outside a checkpoint between the Wild West and South Sea areas of the map. Follow the roads northwest from DK Spaceport to reach it.

Mission 27

Mission: "Borrow some upgrades to reach the goal."

Location: At the side of a road northwest of DK Spaceport. As with Mission 26, follow the road, but at the intersection, stay right instead of going left.

Mission 28

Mission: "Board your chartered flight to the city!"

Location: On a rock on the largest of the two islands northwest of DK Spaceport.

Tips: This one is surprisingly tricky because it isn't about drive fast at all! Take the first two planes steadily, but you'll need to be quicker to get on the final one. Once you're on that, don't move until you reach the building!

Mission 29

Mission: "Figure out a figure eight to grab the blue coins!"

Location: On a rock overlooking a Yoshi's diner southwest of Crown City.

Mission 30

Mission: "Check out the secret back-road barrel shortcut!"

Location: In-between two truck garages right next to a Yoshi's diner southwest of Crown City.

Tips: In the gliding section, maintain your height and keep as straight as possible to hit the pole. You can rewind once here if you miss it - we certainly did!

Mission 31 (Crown City)

Mission: "Drift through the parking garage like a legend!"

Location: On the roof of the multi-storey car park at the north end of the city.

Mission 32

Mission: "Vined a way to the trophy of trophies!"

Location: On a rock overlooking the city and by the train tracks southwest of Crown City. (Note: that is a terrible pun, Nintendo)

Mission 33

Mission: "Receive a whale of a welcome to Peach Stadium!"

Location: At the side of the bridge, right after the drawbridge section, far east of Crown City

Mission 34

Mission: "Navigate the schools of fish to reach the goal!"

Location: On a yacht just on the tip of the beach to the east of Koopa Troopa Beach

Peach Medallions - South Sea

Like our P Switch map, we've numbered each Medallion below, and that corresponds with the numbered list underneath. There's 20 coins to collect here, so let's go get some sun, sea, sand, and spaceports!

All South Sea Region Peach Medallion Locations

Medallion 1 (Crown City)

Location: On the roof of the Yoshi's Drive-Thru just outside to the west of Crown City

Tips: Either a truck with a ramp or a Feather should get you this medallion, so be on the lookout!

Medallion 2 (Crown City)

Location: As you enter Crown City from the southwest, this Medallion is next to a palm tree.

Tips: Here's another Medallion you'll need a Feather for!

Medallion 3 (Crown City

Location: On the roof of a building on the sand strip of Crown City

Tips: Getting onto the buildings in Crown City will require a truck with a booster ramp on it, so you can easily fly onto the roofs. This one's towards the city's south entrance.

Medallion 4 (Koopa Troopa Beach)

Location: In Koopa Troopa Beach, above a quarter-pipe off the course's main road.

Medallion 5

Location: Above the exit on the right side of the bridge, leading to the jungle.

Tips: Go from the bridge and grind on the rail until you go through the last booster. Trick off to jump into the ring boosters in the middle of the bridge and then glide to the roof ahead.

Medallion 6 (Koopa Troopa Beach)

Location: On top of the start line of Koopa Troopa Beach. Petty easy to get if you come at it from the top cliffs using the jump pad.

Medallion 7 (Crown City)

Location: On the green pipe railing close to the Fire Flower Diner in Crown City.

Tips: Head to the beach area and drive behind the Drink billboard, and follow the rooftops until you can grind along some bunting. Keep grinding to find the coin.

Medallion 8 (DK Spaceport)

Location: Underneath the large bridge on the main section of the DK Spaceport course.

Medallion 9

Location: On top of some music blocks right outside of DK Spaceport. Use the jump pad right outside the course exit to jump onto the red rails, grind, and trick off onto the blocks

Medallion 10 (DK Spaceport)

Location: Underneath some blue railings at DK Spaceport, high up the course. This can be tricky to get.

Tips: Head to the Mission 22 P Switch (it's up a second set of stairs from the base floor) which sends you into the classic DK platforming section and go up until you have to turn around. Hit the next jump pad then, on the next section, you'll see a coin on the girder across the way. Drive up to the platform above it and carefully drop off to the girder below.

Medallion 11

Location: On the smaller of the two islands south of DK Spaceport

Medallion 12

Location: On the roof of a hut next to a Yoshi's cart on the tip of beach east of Koopa Troopa Beach.

Tips: Keep driving east to find the telephone line, then turn and grind on it, then trick off onto the roof

Medallion 13

Location: In front of the sign on the huge red bridge, right across the drawbridge section.

Tips: If you grind from Crown City, stick to the railing until you go through a flying booster ring and then aim for the top of the sign

Medallion 14 (Crown City)

Location: Under the pier in the waters in Crown City

Medallion 15 (Crown City)

Location: On top of a ramp on a coastal building in Crown City.

Tips: You'll need a mushroom to get this! Drive through the ramp normally and you'll hit the broken roof section. Stop of the very first solar panel-type roof. Then, drop off to the right. Here you want to line up with the corner of the building and boost off of it, then trick onto the next one, where the ramp (and coin) is

Medallion 16 (Crown City)

Location: On a grassy rooftop near the start of the course.

Tips: Charge jump onto the grass patch right to the left of the starting point, and then drive up and over the curved roof. When you see Yoshi and Toads together, you're right there. It won't appear until you land on the grass

Medallion 17 (Crown City)

Location: Inside an open section of a building with Toads and a wooden ceiling.

Tips: You can only see this coin if you follow this method, so pay attention! Drive normally through the solar panels until you get to the second piece of road suspended in air. Drop off and land on the building to your right. Coins will appear on the wall. Trick, wall ride, and then jump off to the balcony-like area ahead and the coin will appear

Medallion 18

Location: Underneath the metal bridge connecting DK Spaceport to Crown City, on the city side.

Medallion 19

Location: On a red wall just outside of the Mario Kart checkpoint between DK Spaceport and Whistlestop Summit.

Tips: Follow the road south of Crown City, over the bridge, then turn right when you see a dirt path. Then keep going until you see a small slope on the left. Go up it and use the red flower to jump onto the wall. Grind, trick, and grab the coin.

Medallion 20

Location: Above one of the blue buildings west of DK Spaceport.

Tips: You can reach the rooftop by driving up a steep hill just to the right of the buildings, then dropping down to get to a slim path with coins. Then drive to the DK barrel, and you'll be shot towards the coin
