And for Jim's personal pick...
$14.99/$59.99
The word "underrated" is thrown around a lot these days, but I genuinely think Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is one of the most underrated Mario games out there. It takes everything that made its predecessor so great and fine-tunes it, making traversal even easier, power-ups more appealing, and character skills more defined.
It's very unlikely that we're going to get another entry in this series, if you ask me, so do yourself a favour and pick this one up if you haven't already!

I am not one to dissuade someone from playing any flavor of Persona 5, but…if you can play it on ANY other system, I suggest you do so. The Switch port is serviceable but intensely blurry and being on Switch 2 provides no benefit.
I hope Atlus someday puts out a patch, but till then…as much as I love P5R, the Switch version is painful.
Regarding the personal pick, I'd recommend Kingdom Battle over Sparks of Hope. In my opinion the first Mario + Rabbids game is better than its sequel.
As someone who has ONLY played Persona 5, should I pick up P4G or should I wait for the remake? What about P3R?
@RickStar I just checked the eShop, curious that Sparks of Hope is on sale but Kingdom Battle is not.
@dskatter I had no problems enjoying P5R on Switch. I have a gaming PC, but given the length of the game, I valued the portability over the performance (And Steam Decks are sold out until the RAMpocalypse is over).
@Kazman2007 It looks like this time they put on sale only the base edition of Kingdom Battle, instead of the gold edition that includes all DLC's. Weird.
I definitely recommend Kaze and the Wild Masks. It very much has the same flow and feel of the original Donkey Kong Country (which it's clearly an homage to). I wasn't originally that impressed just by watching video footage but once I played the game, it felt so satisfying. I've beaten it twice now. I even love the time trials, which is not a feature I typically enjoy.
@Kazman2007 Fair, it’s just that after enjoying P5 on PS4, the Switch P5R version felt massively lacking in the looks department.
It DESPERATELY needs a Switch 2 patch/update.
Also, if you don’t mind PS2 era graphics, P4G is fantastic.
@Kazman2007 I also played Persona 5 on Switch, had absolutely no issues whatsoever. I need to play it again (doesn't it have like, a new game+ or something? lol), but I've been distracted with other games.
But yeah, game ran and looked perfectly fine for me.
Why is it that Pure Xbox posts an easy to read list of games on sale, but Nintendo Life and Push Square post these multi page lists that aren't easily glanceable?
The list of interesting titles I could buy for peanuts continues to grow while my backlog continues to stubbornly resist shrinking. I'm starting to think I enjoy making wishlists and deal hunting more than actually playing most games. Though it might just be that the anticipation of playing a cool looking game often outshines the actual experience of pushing through its slower or more flawed sections.
@Anachronism Peak Gaming.
@dskatter Boost mode fixes that game on portable side.
It didn't get a 9/10, but Fitness Circuit is 80% off for anyone who wants a good fitness game — it gives a decent workout with a lot of variety.
Picked up Streets of Rage 4 from this sale. Amazing soundtrack and graphics!
@atepa Docked mode still sucks, though. Frame rate and picture clarity are nowhere near what they should be. Probably looks much better on the smaller screen. I haven’t tried with boost, just standard docked.
If I want to play P5R currently, it’s on PS5 or Series X sadly.
So did y'all add an extra just to bump the total to 69?
Nice.
Jim, thanks for this wonderful & informative article. Heard about games in which we’re not known to me, such as Death’s Door. For $5 or so, I’m certain one can’t go wrong.
For those in the states, Costco sells eShop cards at 10% off, making your purchase even more financially savvy.
Go Gunners! (watching them take on Manchester City right now and I’m more nervous than trying to make it through Super Mario Bros. - The Lost Levels). ⚽️😂
@Kazman2007 I would wait for the remake personally. Idk how much my opinion is trustworthy though as I find P3 to be much better than P4 so imo I'd wait to see what P4R does to improve the experience. If you haven't played P3FES or P3R I would absolutely pick up P3R first to hold yourself over until P4R comes out.
I like that you got this list to 68, and then decided to add the Switch 2 version of a game already on the list to get it to the funny number. I appreciate that.
I bought Saynora Wildhearts because everyone raved about the game.
Reads title…
Nice
