Allowing me wander off into the big world and explore it at my leisure, take on a crapton (technical term) of quests and collect things almost immediately? I think I'm in love.
That's exactly why I haven't finished the game yet! I might try the shorter The Last Story first then come back to this.
I reached Bionis' Leg five in-game hours ago, and maybe 10 minutes of the time since then has been spent actually advancing the plot.

I think I've spent 10 minutes in a row just listening to the same music and not doing anything except for trying to find way too hidden or rare quest related things. For nearly every area. Same effect really.
Again, I have no idea how all the annoying stuff the sidequests can make you do doesn't actually annoy me much. It's impressive.
Possible maybe late game SPOILERS: Just out of curiosity, do the Alcamoth sidequests close off at the same time as these timed Fallen Arm sidequests?

How close am I to the end? Because I've literally thought 5 times that the game was about to end. It's a convoluted, but brilliant game.
