^This @zss_shadow: How do you accidently download a game? Doesn't it give you like three warnings before it actually downloads?
Indeed, but to see the block size I had to get to the point right before you buy it. Mostly clumsiness, I messed up and bought other games that way too. >.<
Super Metroid: too open, too dull, too much backtracking through corridors in the vague hope that you'll find some colored door you can open with your new gun.
River City Ransom: every few years I get the urge to play this game, and a few hours after that I remember that I don't really like it.
Otherwise I've either made successful gambles (Pulseman is a prime example) or stuck to can't-lose favorites like Mega Man or Zelda.
O.O SMB 3?!! Super Mario RPG?! MARIO 64?!! Even Wario's Woods? EDIT: Yoshi's Story, too?
MY EYES!!!! How can you hate these games?
You stole the words right out of my mouth dude.
Also, Kirby's Adventure? If you hate that game, it clearly shows that you only judge games based on difficulty. Same with Yoshi's Story.
Yoshi's Story can actually get very difficult if you do a run only getting Melons and trying for the best score instead of eating any old fruit. Besides, if you eat every fruit you see, you finish the level without even getting to the end.
Yeah, if you want. There are exactly 30 in each level, and they give you 100 bonus points for each one you get at the end. So you can get upwards of 5000 points in each level and really shoot for a high score. And in some levels it is hard because if one falls down a hole or in lava etc., it's gone and those are points that you can't get back.

sounds like a challenge Now I think that mario kart 64 is the worst game that I downloaded!

Out of curiosity, how far are you into the game? I had similar emotions early on, but I did some grinding and got some really cool powerups that made the experience much more enjoyable.

Yes, I have done that too. I accidentally downloaded Super Mario Bros. 2 (USA) and Nebulus that way.

I'm hoping that C Bru was kidding.
Heh heh, funny!

Secret of Mana, i don't know why i downloaded that game before looking at gameplay videos.
Same here, not a huge fan of the game so far, but maybe I haven't given it enough time. Another game I REALLY regret DLing would be Donkey Kong Country 3...complete rubbish compared to the other two games in the series.

Ooh, can't remember. It's been a while since I gave up on it. There was way too much directionless running around. I'd get a new gun or something that'd open up a certain color door, or destroy a type of block, and then I'd have to backtrack over every inch of the darn game to find all the places I had seen those doors/blocks before. It got old very, very fast. I had fun fighting bosses and things, but I don't have fun walking 20 minutes over ground I've covered to find out that it dead-ends and I really needed to back-track a DIFFERENT way to get to that cockamamie obstacle I kinda sorta remember seeing once.
And wall-jumping is stupidly hard. Like, frustratingly, absurdly difficult. I can't get the timing down for it at all. Isn't there some kind of delay playing VC games on newer TVs? Someone told me about it once and used Punch Out as an example...the "cues" don't give you as much time to react as they used to because of the delay. Maybe that's hindering my wall-humping.
Super Mario Bros. 3 - for some reason, the controls felt too sluggish to me. Same goes for Bonk 2 (or whatever it's called). River City Ransom was a game I always wanted to play back in the day, but ended up not liking at all--I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing. Those are the wost games I've bought.
I have a new worst game that I just downloaded yesterday. That game is Harvest Moon. I heard nothing but good things about it but this game is sooo BORING! I was literally falling asleep while playing it! I really tried to like it but I just could not get into it. It was a huge disappointment and total waste of my points that I wish I could get back!
When I first got it, I thought it was a total borefest too, but give it some time. Once you start raising chickens, planting crops, and getting a woman to marry you, it starts to pick up.
Now if you want a REAL borefest, I suggest downloading Toejam & Earl. Now THAT game will put you to sleep.
Along with that, my other diappointments were Ninja Commando and Ninja Gaiden. NG's difficulty is ridiculous and cheap, and Ninja Commando just plain sucked. Kind of ironic how two of my least favorite VC games star ninjas...
EDIT: Oh, and SMB: The Lost Levels. I beat these levels without much problems in SMB DX, but the original versions is sodomy in game form!
Nope but SMRPG is a joke, if jokes are your thing.
I didn't like SMRPG much either, but I certainly wouldn't say it was the worst VC game I ever got. To say that you must only have the absolute best games on the service.
