I completely agree on SMB3, what a disappointment. Also, I also regret getting Kirby 64 and Wave Race 64.

How dare you call yourself Nintendork!

Nope but SMRPG is a joke, if jokes are your thing.

I didn't like SMRPG much either, but I certainly wouldn't say it was the worst VC game I ever got. To say that you must only have the absolute best games on the service.

EDIT: This site is in serious need of a multiquote feature...

King of Fighters. That was the worse Fighting game I've ever played. People praise it for being the best fighting game ever, but I fail to see the appeal about it.

1080 Snowboarding. Of all the vc games i've downloaded it was the worst. It's not to bad of a game though. But I still regret it.

Probably Mario Kart 64. I've got into the Mario Kart series with Mario Kart Wii, DS and Double Dash, so the 64 one was a huge letdown with its sprite graphics and those never ending tracks, who look the same all the time over, like Wario Stadium or Rainbow Road, urghs.

People don't praise the KoF series based on KoF94 alone. They mostly praise it based on KoF98. As for the worse fighting game you ever played, I suspect that you're trying to play it like you would a Street Fighter game. That won't work, it plays a lot different. Some characters need a lot of time to get anything effective out of them, thats not because the character is bad but just because thats how they were intended to play.

Also, KoF94 is about the third best fighting game on the NeoGeo Virtual Console with only Samurai Shodown 1 & 2 beating it. If you ever play the first Fatal Fury or the Art of Fighting then you will probably praise KoF too for being so much better.

Super Mario RPG is way too hard and is really outdated by the newer mario rpgs
speaking of mario rpgs, if your looking for the best value for your money, go for Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga
its only $13 and is one of the best games ever made

I bought only four games from the VC: Secret of Mana, Gate of Thunder, Star Parodier and Metal Slug. The "worst" i would say it's Star Parodier, but it's a good game

Wow! DH is one of my all-time faves. Different strokes I suppose.

I think a few rounds of Karate Phants just might change that opinion...

I gave up on Kirby 64 after a while. It's way too slow and boring compared to other Kirby games.

Currently Playing: Overturn, Bit Boy!!, Gunstar Heroes, F-Zero X, Excitebots

I have a new worst game that I just downloaded yesterday. That game is Harvest Moon. I heard nothing but good things about it but this game is sooo BORING! I was literally falling asleep while playing it! I really tried to like it but I just could not get into it. It was a huge disappointment and total waste of my points that I wish I could get back!

I felt the same about the Gamecube game but I was able to sell that. It was my entry to the series. Now I'm not touching any other Harvest Moon game past and present.

Bonk 2. I liked Bonks Adventure so I thought I'd like the second installment. Got boring when I found out you don't get to play the whole game unless you play on hard
Another game I don't like(but it isn't the worst game I've downloaded) is...SMB3.
I've tried,I've really REALLY tried to love the game... I just can't.
It's something,I don't know, that keeps me from liking the game.
If you read this and love SMB 3,please don't hate me, because I really want to like the game

I hear its amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on hari-kiri rock!!! I NEED SCISSORS!!! 61!!!

@Ricardo
Not really, I have a bunch of greats, but I have a fair amount of not highly praised games, like Boogerman! But I wouldn't rate any of them near SMRPG. (And you're right, we need to be able to multiquote)

Probably an unpopular choice, but Sin & Punishment I think is a terrible game, its the controls, I don't know if they worked on an N64 controller, but on a classic or GC controller it just doesn't feel right IMO, I spend more time concentrating on the controls than the actual game itself to the point I find it impossible to get into the game at all, every-time I see it on the SD card menu I just think what a waste of 1200 points.

Everything in the game also looks really dirty and gross. It's enjoyable, completely inferior to Star Fox 64, but enjoyable. The controls are awkward though.

The worst game I've downloaded is Super Mario Bros. 3. I like many Mario games (I have downloaded Mario 64, Super Mario World and Super Mario RPG and I have enjoyed them), but this game's really outdated for me.

While I enjoy all of my VC games, I'd have to say Donkey Kong. While it is an addictive game, it's to repetitive. Here's hoping they release the arcade version.

What gets you about SMB3 that you don't like it? Is it straight away or is there some level later on that you hate?

I think the first half of the game is quite fun but then you get to world five and

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm regretting buying ActRaiser. I've only got the boss level* to do, yet every time I try - and fail to complete it, I contemplate deleting it from my wii for good. I can't imagine how annoying I'd find it on the hard difficulties...

Also, the settlement management sections were dull and linear.

(* spoiler - the boss level is a gauntlet of each of the 6 bosses (with their attack pattern in overdrive) and a final boss with 2 forms - a very frustrating task)

You don't download Super Smash Bros. 3. It's a retail game, and it's called Super Smash Bros Brawl.

The worst game I downloaded on the VC? Well, that's a toughie, considering I have a few games that I regret having downloaded. Those games would have to be: Alex Kidd in Miracle World (my first SMS game and it had to be a bad one [to me that is]), Breath of Fire 2 (though it's not that bad a game, just a bad sequel), and Streets of Rage I (the first one, the controls are a bit sluggish to me, and it's a beat'em up with two endings; yeah, right!).
Of course, that's just me nitpicking.
