Topic: World 9 in NSMBWii

I just got all of the star coins in world 3, yet nothing opened up. Am I missing something? I thought that was how the extra levels were unlocked.....

Did you get a confirmation that you had found all the coins? If not, you may have missed a level or something (remember the World 3 map is separated into 2 parts). And have you completed the game first?

btw, you may wanna change your thread title to something less spoiler-ish.

Yeah, you must first beat the game. If you've already done that, then go to World 3, hit the start, or plus, button, then click on the Star Coins option. This'll pull up a list of the levels to show you which ones you have or don't have Star Coins on.

[thread]OK, so we know how to unlock World 9, but now I've completed World 9 with all star coins. I've also gone back and gotten what I think are all the secret exits (though I've seen no confirmation of this, if there is any confirmation to be had). And yet there are still a few Hint Movies I'm not allowed to buy. They're marked in red with ????

A little help here? What am I supposed to do? I thought I had completed the game.

I second Adam's question. I'm nowhere near 100% through the coin-collection, but I still don't know what causes movies to unlock. Or...not unlock.

I wasn't surprised at all to learn there was a world 9. sure its still a spoiler but its a very light one that shouldn't really ruin the game for anyone.

Nope, I made a point to view all the hint movies, even the pointless ones showing me how to get star coins I already got. Still nothing.

Im not sure how they are unlocked. All I know is one day they werent there, and now they are.

Watching the super skills videos make me depressed about how good im not.

I have been searching the internet regarding the missing hint movies and from what I can gather you need to make sure you use every cannon and warp pipe as well as making sure you have found every normal and secret exit in the game, this should unlock all the hint movies.

I could have sworn I did that. I definitely used all the warp canons. And there's no way to know which levels I haven't found the exits for. Great.

@Adam: Go to World 2 and 6. Do you have the pipes unlocked?

Save all the toads, maybe?

No that's not it. I only saved 1 Toad and I got them all.

Huh. Well thank god for that because I really hate saving the toads
