Ima be Wii-less for 3 weeks (depending on what, and where, the fault is). D: Hopefully my Wii won't be memory-less when I get it back. And if I have to pay for the repair (every company, including Ninty, are money grabbers, except Ninty do it with class) I will be piiiiiiiiiiiiiizzzzzzeeed!
Update: It plays Gamecube games! OMG! So its not the lazorz? o.0
Anyways, I put in a Wii game, Wii Sports (we all love it really) because its a rather simple game... it begins reading it... I hear a "grind" sound and then "unable to read disc" blah blah... I take out the disc and it has a 0.3mm cut all the way around the disc!
Well, my friend says that it needs "re-aligning" because its not "catching the disc" properly for the lens to read it, and that's why it makes a clicky noise.
The reason for the scratching is unclear, but it will be going to Nintendo either tomorrow or Tuesday.
Until I get my Wii back, all I can do is watch M:OM videos and think "Why the hell did my Wii die on me?!"
Also... getting a game you've wanted to play for ages and only getting to play it for an hour and then not being able to play it again really does twist your heart, kick you in the nuts and stomps on you while your on the floor. D:
Oh em gee! Nintendo replace the disc drive, kick it out and send it back to you, after about 3 days your Wii is alive and kicking again. And its all free of charge! Holy crap. And just three days at Nintendo? That's quick!
