I downloaded the Demo on the 360 today although they only have two wrestlers available Ultimate Warrior and Rey Mysterio. It was pretty fun my son and I played it for a few hours and it reminds me alot of the old WWF arcade games with the over exaggerated moves and such lol. Definitely going to pick this one up

I rented it on the Wii it's a pretty solid game that said the signal player mode lacks depth. I have not got a chance to play any multiplayer but I think it would be a blast. The moves are really over the top which is a nice change of pace from SDvsRaw and of course playing with the legends is great.
It kinda feels more like a fighting game then a wrestling game at times with it's fast pace matches but that is a not a bad thing IMO.
Yeah I noticed the over the top moves playing the demo. Like Rey Mysterio leaping off of his opponent and leaping fifty feet in the air lol. Kinda reminds me of the old Arcade WWF games. I would rent it but I dont have a store near me so all I have is Blockbuster online and I have to wait 3 months to rent it.

If you have friends/family to play with I would say just get it but if you are going to be playing by your self I'm not sure how much replay value it would have.
I'm not saying one play isn't fun it is but it kinda gets repitive after awhile.
I was disappointed by All-Star's Nintendo Power review, but I think I'll pick it up eventually. I'll probably wait until it hits the bargain bins, though...
Zach's review convinced me that I definitely need this game, but I'm still waiting for the price to drop beforehand (not to mention I have a backlog of other games I want to buy first)...
"Don't make enemies, they'll stab your heart; don't make friends, they'll stab your back. Including me, including you, all men are trash. Don't love; don't be loved. Have nothing to do with other; live in isolation."
IGN gave it a 7 out of 10 and I agree with that score and what they had to say about it. I'm sure I will end up getting it as well but like you said I will wait for the price to drop.
@Tasuki - I have been reading up on the game and if you plan to buy it you might be better off getting it on either the PS3 or 360 sounds like it has more depth. (What a surprise sigh)
Well I got this game for my son for Easter and we are having a blast with it. I got the 360 version due to the fact that supposedly they are going to be release some more characters via DLC and I figured that the Wii would get passed by on that. Anyway the style of the game reminds me alot of the old WWF Arcade games back in the 90s the controls are simple and the graphics add even more to the arcade like charm this game has.
I have played a bit of the single player game and I do like the promos that they do for the Dream matches really nice editing done there it almost seems that each wrestler is talking to one another even though they are pieced together from clips. But I have to say most of this games charm comes from playing against someone either Online or in the same room.
Another thing is that this game isnt as serious as the Smackdown Vs Raw series so if you are looking for that pass this game up.
Anyway thats my thoughts on this game I couldnt be happier with it. Defiantly alot of fun.

Yep thats about the time of the year they release the new one. I see that they dropped the Smackdown VS Raw from the title unless thats just what they are calling it for now just WWE 12.

Yeah, they recently announced that the game series will no longer be called "Smackdown vs Raw", and they're going with just "WWE '12" (and then presumably WWE '13, WWE '14, etc).

Yep apparently they are rebooting the series. Now wouldnt that be awesome if they went back to making the games like they did on the N64?

I still got my N64 plus WWF War Zone,Wrestlemania 2000 and No Mercy. I had WCW NWO Revenge but it was either stolen or sold in a garage sell can't remember. The sound doesn't work on my N64 tho I think I just need new cables but never got around to getting them.
To me it was not only the peak of wrestling on TV but was the peak in terms of wrestling games as well. I can't even count the number of hours I spent playing those games with my brothers and friends. I know the N64 controller has always got mixed reviews you either loved it or hated it but I loved it I thought it was perfect for those games.
