Topic: Wii update

Well for Wii No Ma to come to North America Nintendo need's to update the Wii Shop Channel to put in a Wiiware Channel section.So any Wiiware Channel that comes available we will be prepared for it.P.S the Food Deliver Channel will NEVER come to American Wii's all I know is the Photo Print Channel is coming some time in 2011.

The wii doesnt have the ability to run things like Xbox or Playstation because it only has a single processing unit, meaning it can only handle one thing at a time. If they made a update that allowed for real time updates on friends or cross game chat they would have to partiton the processor, which isnt possible with the Hollywood Gpu and Broadway CPU processing units

Before next wii console i think ninty need to overhaul their options and a new dashboard.
The code swap is enoying,at times you play or team up with people online and you feel you need to invite them but cant...
Video with wii speak chat would also be good to talk socialize or pre plan a game/tactics.
I would like to see japan and western style anime channels.
more thing to fill up my 32GBSD card or 64+cards when they arrive.

Nintendo really needs to update the look of the Wii Shop...It's sooo bland, uncreative, simplistic and boring. Instead of having one single little crappy screen shot Icon for a game, why not have the actual BoxArt? Xbox Live does it and it's pretty awesome. Along with maybe 5 large screen shots and better 480p Video footge.

I'd also like to see a FirmWare update to correct the Darker, less colorful NES VC games and restore them to what they originally are supposed to look like.

There are 2 things i want from Nintendo Wii no ma and a customable dashboard wouldn it be nice to see some super mario everywhere(this would be much better than the white color ) and a better sound for messages for example the saria song or other Zelda,Mario themes

i agree with what your saying,the nintendo channel is fine but feel another gaming site needs to have a channel because ninty only channel can be biased.
wii speak needs to be updated from 4 to 8-10 people chat.

That'd be wonderful. Though, honestly, with the limited amount of worthwhile online games and given how annoying friend codes are I'm not sure how practical it would be.

Never say never. There's already outfits that will do food delivery for restaurants that don't deliver themselves, so I could easily see the food delivery channel working in America, just limited to major urban areas and phased in gradually.

Maybe a message board where nintendo could notify us of all new updates. We could also send pictures from the camera, and sound effects from the sound channel with this. Wouldn't that be great?

Yeah a more customizable interface would be great, just an all around interface (Wii menu) Update. Microsoft did an interface update for the Xbox 360, why can't Nintendo do one for the wii.

I would love to see that in the future, and a Mii Channel update, Compared the the other avatars out there, the wii's mii's look horrid. A new organization way for the menu, Hold A+B and dragging is time consuming.

I'm not sure how hard it would be for a huge update like a new online experience, with friend chat, but I'm sure some how some way it's possible, and that would make the Wii even more popular, because gamers now a days are looking for online features like that.

Not sure if Nintendo could do all the things you mention, with the current hardware, but I totally agree and want exactly the same as you. Your right, most gamers now days, are not satisfied with an old school type console, pretty much cut off from the modern age of communication, they want a console, much like the PS3 & 360, that you can play games, offline and online, but can also see your friends and communicate with them, in an easy and straightforward manner, which is NOT how the Wii is at this present time. Plus I would like a 'dashboard' refresh and more online integration.

I want to be able to hook the Wii up to the Xbox 360 and so the Wii could borrow one of the Xbox's processor so it could download stuff while you play games.Maybe add an Indie Game category to the Wii Shop. Or better yet, a NintenStation 360! It could do everything!

All i would really want is to be noted anytime anyone of my friends who have wii conect 24 turned on, as well as on the friend list be able to see what game there playing and able to send invites to the game your playing ( sorta like ps3 )

Oh yea and be able to use the wii message board in the wii menu

We'll probably get an update that will "make the Wii run smoother and better", meaning that Nintendo will try to block more pirates. It seems that Nintendo can't get over the fact that pirates are inevitable and they should come second to making high-quality games.

I'm pretty certain the department that handles creating high-quality games will be different to the one that handles creating updates and patches. So they can do both at once.
