Hello folks,
New to the forum with what I hope is an easy question. I’m replacing the rechargeable batteries in my wii remotes, with some batteries I got from Amazon. My charger base has 3 brass contacts for charging, as do my old batteries. My new batteries have 2 charging contacts on the back of them, and won’t charge. Did I get the wrong kind of battery? I assumed all wii remote batteries were the same. Thank you for your help!

Well it was worth a shot. I guess nobody knows. Thanks anyway.

As standard Wii Remotes only use regular AA batteries. Any rechargeable Wii Remote battery will be made by a 3rd party company, so different batteries and chargers may well not be compatible with each other. If you can see which company made your charger, see if you can get batteries made by the same company, although I don't know how easy that will be now that the Wii is long discontinued.
