Topic: Wii MotionPlus improves regular motion?

Well, I downloaded Equilibrio last night, and both last night and today I've been having problems with the Wiimote tilt controls. Often the camera would lurch to the left or right when I merely tilted the control forward/backward a tad. So I decided to plug in MotionPlus, and I was instantly taken aback - all of the sudden my movements seemed to register almost perfectly, and the tilting was incredibly smooth. Even when I tilted the remote left/right while holding the remote slightly forward at an angle, it still registered the motions correctly when it previously didn't (though when I tilted it backward I had a few issues).

Has anyone else noticed similar improvements while using MotionPlus?

No, not really... and I highly doubt Wii MotionPlus has any effect on games that weren't designed to use it. Try unplugging it and see if the issues reappear.

Yeah, I'll do that the next time I turn on my Wii. It very well may be just my imagination, though the game became vastly easier once I did plug it in. (Maybe the attachment made me hold it differently?)

Perhaps the extra weight allowed you better control? On a technological level, I think the correct term is "you're imagining things."

Yeah, the extra weight may have made me subconsciously smooth out my movements.

Still, I tested jerky movements a few times and it responded correctly. I'll perform a more abusive test w/ and w/o M+ the next time I boot it up.

I'm pretty sure that unless you are playing a game that is made to be used with Motion+, the Wii and Wiimote doesn't even detect that the Motion+ is attached.

Yeah, after stress-testing it, WM+ doesn't do anything. I found that by tilting the Wii Remote forward the tilt problems go away - I guess, somehow, WM+ made me tilt my remote forward!

Oh well. If a mod sees this, they can lock it.

(On a related note, I just beat Equilibrio - yay!)
