Who thinks that the wii shop channel should have downloadable demos for their upcoming wii games like xbox and playstation do? I believe that you can download demos for DS, but there have not been any demos for any wii games that I know of.

Judge games by what they have and not what they could have had

Yeah, when i first heard about the shop channel i thought they would be available. nope. then they announced the nintendo channel with dowloadable DS demos... i thought surely there will be Wii ones, too. nope. i don't understand it, but it seems like Nintendo's just not interested. seems to me like it would only increase business, but i'm not in marketing... i'm just a creative writing student. oh well. people have tried for years fr different reasons, but there's nothing you can do to influence Nintendo... they don't even seem to notice game sales all that much. they just pretty much do their own thing. i think that's why so many people hate them.

Far too good of an idea. Nintendo will never do it.

I think the idea of demos for WiiWare and VC games is a bit odd. The vast majority of those games are designed to be played for a few minutes at a time so how are you going to divide it up so its a big enough "taste" of the game without being the whole experience?

With major Wii titles its a bit of a different story. Do Nintendo really need to give you a demo of the next Mario game to get you interested or are you going to buy it regardless? Say if they did give you a demo of the first level a month before the game came out would that get you more or less interested in getting it a month down the road when it finally does come out?

I don't like the idea. The Nintendo Channel as it is would be more than enough if they kept it upto date and had more content IMHO. Throw in some more developer interviews, monthly summaries, trailers and for crying out loud use the game recommendation system that's hiding behind all those menus!
