Went to Best Buy and purchased their Rocketfish Gaming (manufactured by Nyko) induction charger. Wondering if anyone else has an induction charger and what they think of it. Does it work well?

So I've had a chance to let this charger do its thing for about a week now. Wrote this review over on Best Buy (but with a couple of updates since then):

What's great about it: Easy to set up, affordable, indicator light showing charge status, battery life acceptable
What's not so great: generates a bit of heat

Recently purchased this induction charging kit for my Wiimotes. Set up is very quick. One power cord plugged into the back of the device and two battery kits to power two Wiimotes (the battery and back plate are combined). Once you place the Wiimote on the charger, the light underneath the unit will turn red and will stay red for as long as the battery is charging. Once the charge is complete (about three to four hours) the light will turn green. The package information says that you will receive the best battery duration after a few charges (I believe they claimed 10 hours of play per charge), but after an initial charge it lasted between four to five hours of continuous game play. There are replacement batteries ($9.99 each) for purchase that will work with this induction charger when the ones which come with the kit die and are unable to keep a charge any longer. The Wiimote does get a bit warm during charging, but isn't uncomfortable to the touch. I was also able to charge the Wiimotes through their silicon skins, so you don't have to hassle with the constant taking off the skin, inserting batteries, struggling to get the skin back in place again (which is especially difficult with some third party skins).

For the price ($34.99 for two batteries and the charging platform), considering the cost of batteries you'll have to go through, this seems like a really good bargain. The only problem is that once the charge dies down, you cannot play for as long as the battery is charging (in other words, there is no swapping out batteries and continuing right on playing). Your only option in that case is to have extra fully-charged Wiimotes on hand.

Would you recommend this product to a friend? Yes
