I was just in a store the other day that sells tons of gamecube games for 5.99 up to 9.99 (the max price there for GCN games) and when i saw this i started thinking...why should i buy wiiware games for 1000 points when i can buy classic and great gamecube games with a lot more content and better graphics for the same amount. Maybe they need to start porting gamecube games to the shop or something because they are selling at the same price as wiiware anyway (and theres tons more content in them)

O, i c, but on the other issue of the gcn games prices being practically the same as games on the store...aren't we being ripped off a bit saying an n64 game or on vc or a wiiware game is equal value to a 9.99 gamecube game in stores lol
I don't think that was his main point, guys. I think his main point was that you can buy Gamecube games for $10; why would you want to download WiiWare games that cost you the same amount yet have less content? I don't think his main point is that GC games should be in the shop. At least, I think that's what he meant. Right, DaDun?

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
Not all stores have Gamecube games for 10 dollars at the most. Mario Power Tennis for example is $40.00 used for GC and $30 new for Wii NPC and Melee is $25 at the store I go to. In reality WiiWare games and N64 games are priced just right, maybe not were you live but pretty much were everyone else lives.
And the ability to not having to blow into cartridges and having the game go out in the VC's N64 games is nice and handy along with the fact that you can have them all conveniently on your Wii menu.
In answer to your question, DaDun, I don't think any of the truly great Gamecube games that you want to buy are around that price range. I'd rather have an excellent WiiWare title (Mega Man 9, anyone?) instead of a bad Gamecube game.

Hmmm ya u understood my question, i meant $10 for gamecube and 10 for wiiware, kind of a big difference in quality for the prices, ur right
And im surprised no other store has gcn games for that price, i must be lucky. I found wave race, metroid echoes, double dash, 1080 avalanche, and many more for 9.99 and under lol

All the GC games I've found are like 20+. I haven't bought any, I've got better things to buy; unless I can find a copy of Luigi's Mansion... Actually, I won't buy any more GC games, ever since I went to play Kirby Air Ride (Shweet), I found that EVERYTHING on my card was corrupted, and would have to be deleted! I had completed game data from all the good GC games on there! So the only game I might consider is Luigi's mansion and DD... Anyone know why my data got corrupted?
No, that just happens sometimes. I had a sonic file where I had over 100 emblems, and I had had the file for years. Guess what? It got corrupted. Oh, and if you're buying more gc games, get Melee, unless you already have it.
With that mentality why buy any Wii games or PS3 games or 360 games. I mean you can buy great PS2/Xbox/Gamecube game for a couple of dollars. Heck you can go on STEAM and buy great games for $10 dollars all the time and since they're PC games, even being a couple of years older they still can look quite impressive. For example Doom 3, Far Cry, Max Payne 2, and Jade Empire might be several years old but a PC with even an entry-level graphics card can play those games at resolutions higher then most PS3/360 games with all settings maxed out.
Also, why go to the movies when you can watch movies for free on TV or get a Netflix subscription for a couple of dollars.
I used to have that value mentality when it comes to videogames and I ended up with like 200 last generation games that I never really felt excited to play. I since then sold all of those games and now buy a game if I'm excited about it so in the end Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicle's or Nyx Quest or World of Goo might not be as deep or content-filled as a quality last gen game (i.e. Halo, Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, etc.) but I'm just more excited to play them.

Actually I do have that attitude and see a film in a theatre about once a year, if that and never rent movies. That's because I think most films are worthless rubbish though.
At Game Crazy, you can find Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure Battle 2, and Sonic Gems Collection (which includes the superb Sonic CD) for $10 each.......
which compared to most WiiWare and VC games is an absolute steal

This is one of the worst arguments I've ever seen anyone make ever. Hopefully you are just very young. For one thing there is not all that many great gamecube games, especially ones that haven't been ported to wii yet. Most that are good and not ported to wii are more expensive like Ikaruga. The gamecube games you've seen are also obviously used, and not in high demand. No one is getting ripped off paying around $10 for a quality wiiware game like lit, bit.trip series, onslaught, nyxquest, etc. These are often new original games that were just developed and cost money and time to make. They are not competing against old games that already made their money. Plus gamecube games can't use the wii remote.
I'm very picky about WiiWare games I buy same as I was for the Gamecube.
I bought Billy Hatcher just because it wasd cheap some months ago and didn't like it.
With WiiWare and Gamecube functionality, I can have the best of the new and last generations. Having been a fan of Nintendo throughout the Gamecube era, if a game hadn't interested me enough to make me want to buy it back then, I probably won't want to buy it now either.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
MLaaK, MLaaDL and World of Goo aren't on GC, if you want something new and original wiiware is often the place to find it, also has a few updated classics too, so the wiiware service serves its purpose well.
Why have Gamecube games on the Wii Shop Channel when the Wii is backwards compitable with almost all Gamecube games? Besides, some WiiWare games are awesome.
The main argument is that the games on VC and WW can be too expensive for what they give and I agree. However, there's also the "convenience" side of it. You don't have to pay shipping or go drive to a store to get your downloaded games like you'd have to for those GCN games (which, by the way, are awesome. I have 25 GCN games and love them all.)
