I MAY be buying Conduit 2. The original was okay in spots, very meh in others with nothing truly amazing. I plan to rent it for a few days and if it's a good enough value. Sega/High Voltage will be getting my $50. The rivals system sounds very similar to Wii's Black Ops allies system, definitely a good thing. I wonder if you'll be able to free chat without friend codes as in Black Ops?

@Ecto-1
Wouldn't be surprised. By March 22 people will still riding (and likely saving money for) the 3DS hype train. April 5th makes it a bit more reasonable for me at least.

Why would you want that? You'll have a bunch of whiny 13 year olds cussing you out all the time like on X-Box Live. Conduit 1 does support friend-of-a-friend chat, so this one probably will, too.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

Ain't that the truth. On Black Ops, every person with a mic sounds like Justin Bieber. And then one of them even started singing that Baby, Baby song by him. XD

Do the Mario!

But Black Ops on Wii (and I'm guessing the other versions) allows you to instantly mute all the players that have voice chat on. I haven't had a problem listening to cussing thanks to being able to mute everyone or a specific player. Conduit 2 will probably use a similar feature since it uses the same type of voice system via headset.

If the game is as good as it looks, im probably going to buy it.

After reading this guy definite yes
"In my recent behind doors play through demonstration of conduit 2, I was very surprised of how many things have changed, not in the bad way either. It felt different, and that’s good because this difference was better. First off I noticed the graphics improvement in this final build, it wasn’t too much from the last game but they improved on the water and shiny metal effects that really squeezed out the wii’s juice. Now the game looks more “cartoonish” from the last one and I believe it was the right way to go because it’s just a sci-fi so it doesn’t have to feel realistic.

I found that the ASE is a lot less annoying. Once you take it out you can search around and hidden objects appear on visor, which you can scan. You get a certain amount of credits/ coins every time you scan. Since the all the weapons have been altered somewhat, I had a little trouble getting used to it. The deatomizer is the biggest change I’ve seen. The main fire is meant mainly for charged shots, which are 2 beams that are connected to each other by a laser to ensure it hits your target. Once you switch to secondary fire, it fires automatically which is not as deadly as the charged shot but shoots rapidly. The phase rifle was fun but tricky to use, there’s a maximum distance in which it can locate a person and you can only shoot through one layer. The gun doesn't automatically auto lock, you will have to keep searching until you find someone. The warp pistol has changed to more of a secondary weapon. It shooters slower than before and the charge shot is not as centered. Even though I did not get to use it, I found out the shrieker’s alternative fire is an automatic fire that shoots until you run out of ammo but you cannot make the shots move wherever you want. The Dark Star has to be my favorite so far, it shoots these pellets (I will call them that for now) and it shows 3 lights, one turns on for each person you kill. Once you kill 3 enemies you will receive the black h*** secondary fire only once until you track 3 kills again. The black hole sucks anything close into it and be careful and do not do what I did by accidentally walking into it.

I played two levels from invasion mode; it’s probably going to be my favorite mode in the game. You go into a game that can have 4 players split screen with 4 different load outs. Your task? Simple…KILL EVERYONE and collect their coins to use in the game store for armor and guns. And that really reminds me of my fun days playing star wars battlefront, except you have less people.

This play through was just amazing of what high voltage can put into the itsy bitsy little wii. Extended story, amazing graphics and weapons, invasion mode, split screen and online multiplayer. It’s everything you can ask for in an FPS especially for being wii exclusive. I must force myself to be patient until it comes out in 2 months. It has to be my most anticipated game of all time and it is just simply amazing how big this game is. "

Also this is the guy who made the Conduit weapons with cardboard

Me, as long as the Metacritic score will be over 75. Unlike other peeps, I'm pretty excited for the campaign. Looks like a good time, both online and off. Plus, since I'm only buying one 3DS, it'll be nice to have a new Wii game as a distraction while I'm letting my younger bro play on it.

The review average? Well probably as there is CC-Pro support (most low scores for The Conduit complained about controls and claimed dual analogs were better putting their validity into question). But another Ishtar could happen just because.

reviewers are full of it these days. They seem like fanboys in discuse. I look at all the great ga,es for wii and you'll see then look at the mediocrities on hd systems lol. I expect 90s frome this game or at least 85+.

What are you talking about? The controls were praised in most reviews. What they didn't like was stuff like bland graphics, bad level design (in both campaign and multiplayer), clunky ASE mechanics, lack of bosses, and online glitches.

Corridor does not mean bad, glitches were and are rarely or never mentioned in reviews, and the graphics were pretty good. A lot of the reviews did complain about controls, same ones complained for Goldeneye 007's wii controls.

Corridors are bad when they and the rooms they connect are nearly all there is (and the multiplayer level design has additional faults), and the reviews frequently complained about it. The technical side of the graphics is good, but the artistic side is lousy, hence being bland. There may be the occansional reviewer that doesn't like Wii FPS controls, but the majority of the reviews praised the controls.
