Topic: Who else thinks that the Internet Channel is awesome?

I don't. It's likely the least convient way possible to go online.

It's useful sometimes, like when it's my lunch hour and turning on my computer would take 5 minutes, only to be turned off again before I go out. The DSi browser also has its use, like browsing gamefaqs for guides to get past a particularly difficult part in a game, and I don't want to keep running upstairs to see my computer every 5 seconds.

I think it's awesome too. I do most of my browsing on my computer - but that's upstairs and the Wii is downstairs hooked to the TV. If I'm sat on the sofa waiting for a film to come on, half an hour casually browsing the web or watching Youtube videos without getting up is far superior to just channel hopping.

It's also great if you have friends round for drinks. It's not much fun crouding everyone round a computer to watch Youtube videos but on a TV its lots of fun and brings up some great topics of conversation and some good laughs.

I wouldn't say it "awesome" but it is pretty cool for watching some flash vids and playing some flash games on your tv.

I think it's a nice substitute when I can't get onto a PC.

I use it alll the time for Youtube. Most "played" game/channel for me according to the Nintendo Channel.

How do you connect a keyboard to your Wii?

USB keyboard. USB ports are located on the back of the Wii.

!!! Can you plug a flash drive or something into your Wii?

It won't work, even though it fits. What you CAN do, though is charge your iPod in the Wii, at least while it's on.

It certainly is much better than the PlanetWeb browser 3.0 for Dreamcast. PlanetWeb fails to render most sites properly nowadays. But that is to be expected, due to how much the web has changed since then. The best thing about PlanetWeb was the ability to directly download saves and add-ons. Which is the only reason I keep it around.

I love Opera's Internet Channel, but it could use some more features. Perhaps some things taken from Opera's desktop browser. Opera Turbo would be perfect for the Wii.
