Topic: Who else thinks that the Internet Channel is awesome?

I just downloaded it yesterday, cause yesterday is when I got the Internet back, plus Wi-Fi, and it is AWESOME, besides the lack of being able to install things like Flash Player. And I just can not wait until I get the USB keyboard for Christmas, that'll make it like 25,000x better!

Anyways, go ahead and tell me what y'all think!

I never use my Internet Channel because I already have a home computer and a Laptop, making it kind of useless, for me.

I used it when my cpu was broken. It worked fine for me, especially for watching youtube.

I use it when I'm too lazy to head to the CPU over there. points

But it's great for seeing my YouTube vids whenever I want!

I cannot use the PC when someone else is using it or when people are sleeping so I go online using the Wii in those cases.

There is a lot of problems with it. It won't keep me signed in to forums - if I go to a different site and then come back, I have to sign in again nearly every time. It can be very slow sometimes, even freezing up for a few seconds... but its still the most used channel on my Wii even over all the games.

I only use it for watching YouTube vids.

I think the Internet Channel may be handy sometimes. I use it rarely but it's good to know that I could if I need to. For example if the PC needs a repair and meanwhile I want to order something online or use the homebanking.

By the way: Can you use any USB keyboard with the Wii or must it be a special one?

Any.

Yes that happens from time to time , but if you clear your cookies/etc and start again , it works fine for a quite along time !!!

i seem to use the DSi browser more often than the wii since its portable.

Flash Player is already part of the browser. No need to install.

You should try WiiCade on the browser. You can play some fun Flash and Javascript games. Make sure you try Coverfire. It is one of the games I wrote. It's quite cool to use two remotes simultaneously!

Not awesome, but until I get a laptop it'll remain useful atleast.

Its good for what it is. I have no real gripes.

I don't think its awesome at all. It corrupted my system memory and now I have no Wii to play and now Nintendo wants 85 dollars from me to fix it!

I have the channel, and the Logitech Wii-board. It's convenient, sure, when using the message board. But don't trick yourself into thinking that purchasing the Wii-board will enhance your Internet Channel experience one bit. It won't. It will sit somewhere in its protective foam sleeve, more of a hassle to bring out than to quickly enter a few characters with the WiiMote.

This is at least the case here, where I use the channel for quick-hit browsing only.

^ I see. For quick Google searches or looking what's new on NintendoLife a keyboard is apparently not really necessary. But I cannot imagine that writing e-mails, posting in forums or making bank transfers makes much sense without one.

very good. I use it to listen music from youtube with my dolby surroud.

It's alright. Nothing special, but gets the job done. Browsing on a computer is sooooo muh better, but sometimes I want to show people a vid without them having to crowd around a computer.

Basically I use it when there is no other choice.I find it cumbersome ,lacking in features and it has far too many compatability issues. Sure it's ok for a quick google search or news check etc and it's free but it's also pretty crappy IMO ,so no, I don't use it that much.
