For me, World of Goo never really caught my interest for very long. Why it's a best-seller is beyond me.

Anyways, post your thoughts of overrated WW games here.

That's why you're still a kid.

Onslaught, Dr mario, and Megaman 9 (where's my damn slide?)

World of Goo is not overrated but damn near close! It's innovative, captivating, and other big words!

Niki. Even though I don't enjoy WoG much I still think it's a decent game and decent is ~7, 10 - 7 = 3 while Niki is an abysmal piece of garbage with an 8, 8 - 3 = 5. THE MATHS PROVE IT!

What I mind about MM9 is not the lack of a slide (I grew up with the Gameboy version of 1, even jumping over stuff was almost impossible there), it's the level design. Health depletion happens almost never because it has Spikes out the Wazoo (tm) and most obstacles are instakill, the only enemies that really matter are the minibosses and bosses which are absurdly difficult compared to other MM games (except the GB ones). Well, okay, and the bastards that pop out of holes and hit you just so you fall into the hole unless you already know a hole contains them but they count as instakill hazards too.

I can only play WoG with a friend or else I get bored too quickly, onslaught however is freakin AWESOME. I'll probably get sledged for this but I hate Megaman.

Wow, I'm not the only one who's uninterested in this goo business. That's surprising. I played the demo, and my impressions were, "Pretty graphics, decent music, and another puzzle game."

Come on, friends,
To the bear arcades again.

Well, WoG is pretty interesting at times but building large, repetitive structures is too tedious for me, especially when they fail because of a badly placed link about 2/3 the way down and I have to restart the whole damn thing all over again. Then again I think it's getting better in the later worlds but I'm trying to play the levels in order.

Mega Man 9. Sure, it's decent enough, but I wouldn't say that a bit of nostalgia is as good as half of the reviews it got.
I also thought that WWW rated My Aquarium way too high.

I agree on Niki for sure. And this is coming from a huge PLATTCHEN fan...

Gyrostarr - Lot of love for a truly unremarkable game.

My Life as a King. Corbie's biggest flunk if you ask me, it was fine and all but it just gets way to repetitive after a while.

And also Space Invaders Get Even. Its short, overpriced, and just flat out bad (for me anyway).

Haha, it was expectable to see World of Goo being mentioned at first just because it is the game which received the highest ratings by far.

At the beginning, Ive also seen it as slightly disappointing, but I have to say that the game becomes better on the long run - the way you have to be "creative" in the later levels is just impressive.

Sort of agree on World of Goo. Onslaught is awesome and I don't mind LostWinds or FFCC:MLaaK at all - in fact I've been playng them quite recently.
Niki is ... wait ... it's a Bplus game ... got ... to ... be ... sCreW IT! Niki is garbage - and Plattchen is equally as atrocious.

I'd also throw in Pop'Em Drop'Em, Fun Fun Mini-Golf! and Pop! as the worst of the bunch I've purchased. I'd also say Mega Man 9 is seriously overrated.

bomberman blast and tetris party. these games aren't bad by any means, just "overrated". also this site gave too high of a score on the atrocious helix game.

Defend Your Castle.

World of Goo seemed like a flash game for the first few levels, but it goes above and beyond soon after.

Onslaught. Infact, I didn't buy it because of everyone acting like idiots over it >_>

How dare you! Space Invaders is awesome and get the DLC if you think it's too short -- it's a full disc release broken into four chunks!

@Popyman: Not buying a game because everyone is hyped about it sounds like a perfect reason not to buy it.
@Sean (17): Space Invaders is short - even with the DLC. It's not bad by any means though - Bahamut+ZERO probably just doesn't like that style of game. The worst bit was completing it and thinking "What no ending?"

If you're made of money, maybe. For mere mortals, it's a complete waste of cash.

OnSlaught is waaay to generic, and lacks multi-player: What'd make it fun.

I can respect him not liking it, but I still don't regard it as short; I've not even played all the levels yet (I have yet to beat the level 4 boss). No ending does suck -- is there even a credits roll?
