Topic: What weapon are you using in MH3?

Off topic please forgive me, but should I get this game? It looks really good and I`m curious. But to answer your question, I saw this long-sword type weapon that looked cool.

Whichever one is the fastest.

@Mickey Mac, so Dual Blade sword or Lance?

Either the Long Sword or Bow Gun

You start out with a sword and shield which is the fastest weapon available (pretty much) and a great sword, which is one of the slowest. The rest aren't available at first (boo!). Currently I'm using a Commander's Dagger, which is a sword and shield, but I'm dying to get any long sword so I can slice and dice some Barroth.

Pretty sure it's gonna be Sword 'n Shield. Fastest and easiest for beginners. Aaaaannnd because you always need more than one weapon (to be prepared) i gonna turn in longsword and maybe Hammer or Lance (but Lance makes you freaking slow... don't know about this one).

you better drive a big curve away from ALL Guns as a beginner. Hard to handle and you could turn into an annoyance for other players online. wait a few days/weeks of training befor getting into that one. and train it offline.

@turtle - There are no Dual Swords in this game.

The great sword looks cool, but I hear it`s slow. I guess the weapon that is good for beginners.

Well, I personally think the Lagiacrus Switch Axe things look cool. I know nothing about the game, though, so I have no idea.

This is true. Also so is yelling "Roll! Dodge! Attack! Roll! Roll!" at your WiiSpeak.

The great swords look awesome, but kind of slow... Lance might be cool too.
A bit off topic, but does the game have offline coop, or just online?

I`m probably going to use either the switch axe or the Sword and Shield. Or the Lance. Or all three.
