If you take this kind of thing too seriously maybe you shouldn't come to the internet so much time. When you take video-games and related-stuff like internet posts about it seriously you loose the propose of the video-games in the first place.

Looks no more than an cameo, if true. And I doubt it will be annoying or something, he couldn't even talk in the adventure mode in Olympic Games with Mario at his side because of Nintendo.
And you people are sad, it's not like they are giving SMG2 to modern Sonic Team! It doesn't make the game automatically bad! Nintendo knows what is doing.

Really? Speeding across a huge loop-de-loop doesn't make you think of Sonic at all? I'm not saying that Sonic is going to be in Galaxy 2--in fact I think it's completely insane. BUT, from the first time I saw that trailer I thought, 'that loop-de-loop looks a bit sonic-ish'.

If you meant the loop, I thought you meant the moment before. Well loops are a Sonic thing yeah... Maybe resembles some 3-D tittle with that camera angle.
Hopefully it would pave the way for more cameos in Nintendo games. Just think...
