@mrmicawber: Yay, another David Copperfield fan! Okay,
1. The single player campaign is nothing special. It's short fun, but it gets repetitive. 2. The squirt gun isn't a stream. You shoot balls/bullets of water, which fall fairly quickly. The combat is very satisfying. (I was worried about it prior to buying it)
Hey gang, instead of spamming the board with a new water warfare topic, I want to ask this here :
1. Does this game have much in the way of single player campaign or whatevere? See, I LIKED how Onslaught did their online, I thought that was a nice break from frag fest to have competitive cooperative scoring - but if this game is basicly buy for online death match I probably will not get it.....
Thanks in advance - M. Micawber
Also a dumb question perhaps - but is it slow to shoot like a real squirt gun, or is it basicly like a real gun only it shoots water? Know what I mean? Are we shooting streams or shots?
The single player campaign has 4 maps each with 8 different goals. It can easily be completed in an hour or so. Also, you can play any mode online that you can offline.
And as for shot speed, it all depends on which weapon you have. Theres a water version of every typical gun for an FPS.
But I love the game. Online is a blast (when people aren't camping on the raincoat).
I honestly think the squeak hammer is the most overpowered item; not only are you invulnerable for a short time but you can smack people for wet damage too.
I think I will buy this tommorrow. I want to support Hudson, they done me right with Onslaught, and even though I think this is stupid it is also awesome at the same time. I am sure I will play online a little, and 2 player at home is not bad either.....
Crazy wiiware, it is so much fun we get a chance at games like this....!!!
Thanks for the repsonses guys, for whatever reason I have the fever.....
IGN: The holiday Wii lineup looks thin for the hardcore crowd. We see this. Gamers see this. What, if anything, is Nintendo planning to address it?
Oh good, I am neither a gamer or hardcore. Saves me from having to be IGNorant. Right, Down, A, Down, Right, Up
i suppose i'd have preferred an option to remove the raincoat, or atleast if the raincoat lowered damage received rather then outright cancelled it out
You also need to post your own friendcode. The Mario Kart one will due... hardly ever plays Water Warfare anymore. Check the weekly mario kart race thread. We typically race Sundays and Tuesdays at 21:00 GMT.
Man, the online is getting annoying. It's just, this glitch, where in the small plaza, if you go to the fountain built in the wall, you can go to the corner of it without taking splash damage. And if you use the quick roll to repeadetly ram the wall on your side, you'll go through it, THEN FALL FROM THE SKY ONTO THE ROOFS. Than if you go to this corner of the roofs, you'll go through the building, and you can't be shot, but you can shoot other players. It's annoying. So, just DO NOT pick the small plaza no matter WHAT. If you like the plaza, just do the large one. Please.
YEAH! I dunno HOW people figured it out but I've been noticing it over the course of the last few online sessions I've had in the past couple weeks and it's really irritating me that they ruin the game like that on my favourite level. ARRRGH!
This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare
My friend found another glitch. On the stage with all the trees (cannot remember the name) there is one tree where if you keep rolling into it, you jump on top and have a view of the whole place. No one can hit you though, because it's as if you're standing on an invisible shield. It's pretty cool, but TOO cheap, I don't do it unless someone is stalking me.
