Has anyone else played this game? I'm going to dig it out and have a play at it once I get my GCN controller back and I was just thinking, why don't Capcom do a re-release of the 2 Joe games on one Wii disc? I'd sure buy it. If anyone's played it or the sequel please post your thoughts. Thanks.

Yeah had it on the cube and loved it. The whole movie/comic book theme was just fantastic and the graphics were beautiful.Great controls and abilitys (zoom, slo mo) and the puzzles really utilised those abilities really cleverly. Only rented the 2nd one and never really give it a chance (i'll have to look for a 2nd hand copy soon). I don't think a wiimake would work unless they changed the gameplay dramatically, can't see motion controls working well but it could be good if done well.I never tried the DS game ,did you?
@luigi78: Oh yeah I had the DS one. It was quite good but felt a bit watered down. Like there were only ever 2 enemies on-screen at a time I think. I think a Wii compilation could work without waggle controls. I know I'm dreaming though. @JJ: A sequel would be awesome but I dunno if it'll ever happen what with Clover gone. Who knows.
@Outrunner But why would you want a Wii compilation when you can play them on your wii now with the perfect controller for it? I don't think it sold great amounts on da cube so I can't see it doing any better on Wii, it's a bit of a niche game so probably won't happen unfortunately It was probably one of my top 5 games of last gen though it just did everything right IMO.

I never got the 2nd one and I just want to see Joe back on the scene. I agree, VJ is probably in my top 5 from the last generation too.

You know why, right? you need the trigger buttons. The Wiimote doesn't have enough buttons to do this game.
I'm playing it. It's awesome.
Oooh, did they use the analogue triggers? I don't remember. I'm itching to play it again.
Ya you use the shoulder buttons to slow down and speed up time. I can't really imagine an effective way of doing this on the Wii. And motion controls in a game like this would be horrible.

And then how would you map the other abilities? You need the nunchuk analog stick for movement, but you also need something else to Zoom (previously the c analog stick or b button). You also need a Jump button, a Kick button, and a Punch button. Not enough buttons on the wiimote+nunchuk.
Oh, well there goes my hopes. Lol, guess I better track down the sequel on ebay. Incidentally, is the beat-em-up as bad as people say? Red Hot Rumble or whatever it was called.
Awesome game that dripped with style. I loved it when you found 'the zone' and pulled off some crazy time bending maneuvers, and the way you could dodge everything if you got good enough and had bought all the skills. I need to grab 'em on GC again (never tried 2), NPC would suck, but a fresh sequel wouldn't (no waggle please, unless its slick mp).
Eh you could use twist left/right for zoom or speed up without hurting anything. If they didn't have that cheap-ass re-fight all the bosses BS at the end I might still own it, but that was the end for me.
Me too. The final boss rush was a touch too far in the 'hardcore' stakes. Gave up at that point, after I'd finished gasping for air in waves of frustration...

It was hardcore to the max. Especially when you got to Fire Leo, without any saves.
