I had an idea for an "Ultra Violent" but (sort of) family friendly FPS for Wii. Intrigued? Well, here it is:

You're an insect-sized creature [d'no what], and the vegetable garden you live in has been infected, and all the veggies are turning into zombie plants. Your peaceful miniature-sized home is being attacked by rabid tomatoes, cabbage, artichokes, etc. So you take your watermelon seed launcher and get to work cleaning them out. This is where it gets "ultra violent". Shooting zombie veggies would splatter their juice all over the place, and the seeds you shoot would visibly stick in them. Obviously more depth can be added than simply running around squashing veggies, like some puzzles and platforming, ala Metroid Prime. The classic "walk down the corridor, turn the corner, and alien in your face" mechanic could easily be incorporated - imagine you're walking through a strawberry patch, and all of the sudden zombie strawberries are in your face and waving their vines all over you. You could upgrade your weapon to hold bigger seeds, which could cause more damage. (Pumpkin seed launcher, watermelon seed machine gun, etc.)

Anyway, thoughts?

EDIT: Also the graphical style would be very cartoon-y, something like Zelda: Wind Waker or Animales de la Muerte (that was for you, Corbie) .

I'd buy it. Sounds fun! If I was capable of programming anything better than the maze game, I'd program it for you

Yeah, I'm considering doing some prototypes, but I'm not all that good with OpenGL/3D.

Sounds wicked cool. Perhaps you could be a rabbit? A very small rabbit. About the same height as a carrot. And have a few bosses like zombie rabbits that got infected by eating the veggies. Maybe a couple giant fruits/veggies that grew to a massive size because of the virus. I'd buy that on release.

The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.
