I doubt this is true. Ubisoft has been one of the Wii's biggest developers, so why would they stop? And beside, at least from all those garbage, they still make good games (Grumbles at the fact that he can't play No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggles).
i like to know when ubisoft ever fully supported the wii....... look at the crap they put out........wii fans ask for one game and get total garbage..... wii didnt get turtles in time remake but yet they got smash up ..... reviews for smash up were awful they all said play smash bros instead... they didnt give us a new prince of persia......third party companys want to put out action girls racing and my barbie horse crap and expect it to sell 10 millon.... its not that the games dont sell on the wii its the quialty they give us.....capcom is anther good example.... wii fans have wanted re5 but yet they give us rail shooters......sega complans about the conduit sales ....yet if u read the reviews they were all sayin ok game......if u dont make quialty u not goin to sell no quantiy........all these great games they avoid the wii ........i hate devolpers givein us some own rushed up five min thought up job ..........now look at the games nintendo gave us....notice the quality of them.... eveyone wants them cause there that good .....to third party devlopers stop makein min game crap, give what wii fans want and u will see a diffrnece..........
@Ocarinaoftime: Yeah, treat us like you do the 360 and ps3 owners d*mn it! I'm a gamer! Just because I own a wii doesn't make me less of one. You don't need to figure us out just make games for us the way you'd do anyone else. I'm really annoyed they're leaving. Ubi can kiss my ***!! (Still probably get some of there games they got here though.(Someday))
The fact that they'll be CEASING Wii development is completely untrue.
Besides, rather than focusing solely on the poor efforts, try remembering the good titles Ubisoft put forth. No way they'd abandon most of those IP's entirely.
@SSBF..... man I hate to tell you but when the CEO of the company come straight out and says it, I would pretty much bet its ever bit true. Even though the Wii is still selling like crazy, developers are starting to move to the next big thing, I hate to say this but Im thinking Ubisoft is jumping into Natal and Arc development. Like I said the next big thing. New periphials offering motion control on the HD systems, all these Nintendo fans screaming for Wii HD, looks like quick cash ins to me.

They won't stop Wii development, that would just be moronic for them. Their casual games and Rabbid games have sold quite well.
Seeing the games "gamers" keep whining about though, not gonna happen anymore. I doubt we'll see another NMH on a Nintendo system, or another Broken Sword or Shaun White, Red Steel or Tenchu. Sad really, but I guess I have good timing because when I get enough money I'm jumping ship, well no entirely, I'm going to keep my Wii obviously.
Face it, the "gamer" market on the Wii just isn't sustainable, but at least we'll hopefully see games like another Rabbids Go Home, that was crazy awesome and we still have WiiWare right? That's got a ton of classic gaming. In fact, I'm kind of shocked that these companies leaving the Wii aren't putting more support on WiiWare, it seems to be a profit haven for low cost classic style gaming... Though I think it's sad to get a current gen system for classic style gaming only but whatever, it's still fun. lol
Guillemot called those two consoles the ones that are "expected to experience sustained sales growth in games for gamers in calendar year 2010."
Has this guy even looked at the Wii's release schedule this year?! The Wii has a huge amount of (probably) great hardcore games coming out this year, many by third parties (including his own company).
I don't care much for Ubisoft's hardcore games myself, but this is a disturbing sign. I also hope this doesn't put the nail in the coffin for TMNT games on Virtual Console.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

The didn't make No More Heroes, they just published it. Grasshopper Studio was the one who made 'em. Red Steel 2 is in House, though. Same with the Rabbibds, I think.
Which brings up an interesting question: Are they gonna stop supporting the Wii entirely? Or are they just gonna stop developing in-house for the Wii?
Red Steel 1 and 2 Avatar No More Heroes Series Shawn White games Rabbids Games Broken Sword Tenchu Brothers in Arms Double Time Nitrobike Prince of Persia Blazing Angels Driver Parallel Lines Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Farcry Vengance Splinter Cell Double Agent Monster 4x4 Gt Pro Series Brother in Arms Road to Hill 30
I would say that is a heck of a developer to loose for any system. I ownded several of these games and enjoyed many of them a dang good bit.
I think only 4 or 5 of those games you listed were actually any good, and one of them is a game that's been remade a zillion times by now. I think the biggest lost would be the No More Heroes series, but I don't think the Wii was gonna get a No More Heroes 3 on the Wii anyways.
Ubisoft could stop making and publishing games for the Wii altogether and I couldn't care less. Frankly, other than Rayman and No More Heroes they really didn't show much interest in the Wii at all. I mean, how many VC and WiiWare releases did they release? 0 VC and 2 WiiWare, one of which was simply a demo of a bonus feature in a Rabbids game.
people are reading far too much into this. Ubisoft will release The Forgotten Sands for the Wii. a couple of Tom Clancy games will head to the wii too. nothing is going to change - a lot of their focus was on the other consoles before too, now he's just trying to capture some more of what he thinks will be the trend, and it's probably off quoted/misquoted.
So ends a saga older than time itself. The World's oldest and fiercest army has been led to victory, and a lost generation is delivered from its fear of extinction. As the sun sets over the field of conflict the dinosaurs disperse, hoping never to set foot in this place a...
I do like Nitrobike, No more heros and Red Steel. But i can live with out Ubisoft. I have a Xbox 360 so i can still buy their games. Maybe Nintendo will now make some more 1st party games. F-Zero online please.
Not big loss, and probably smart on their be half. wii sucks, I mean even high voltage has thrown the grinder on all systems now, even pc. Nintendos fault. they dont want gamers, the want kids. They have become.... Michael jackson
