GameInformer new issue I just got in today in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Section has The Ugly and its states...... " Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemont says that the company is steering the ship away from the Wii and concentrating on the XBOX 360 and Playstation 3. Guillemot called those two consoles the ones that are "expected to experience sustained sales growth in games for gamers in calendar year 2010." "Games for gamers" certainly is a phrase we like to hear coming from an executive.
.... what do you guys think about this, its kinda shocking seeing as Red Steel 2 isn't even out yet and they are already moving on before its release.

Oh No! How will I live without generic mountains of average to bad "simulations" of things you would imagine about! What about average to good games featuring crazy rabbits which are really nothing amazing?

It looks like the end for the Wii if developers keep abandoning the Wii like this.
There will be no end to the Wii. Just because big companies cant make enough money on their games doesnt mean they will take it out of the industry. It all comes down to sales, and if the Wii sells, it will survive. And believe me, as long as the Wii sells, good games will still come, not necessarily from big devs such as Ubisoft and EA.
Hey Ubby? Will you do us a favor and take EA with you as well?
Red Steel 2 still has to turn out to be good to be its swan song.

Thank. G-d. They haven't put out any worthwhile games, asside from Red Steel 2(hopefully) and the two No More Heroes(which could always get a new publisher). Their Xbox and PS3 games are another story entirely, and I would prefer it if they continued putting out more great games on those consoles than half-arsed ones on the Wii.
You know, I'll laugh my butt off if the fail despite this move.
Given that they're making boatloads of money off their 360/PS3 games, and that their Wii games haven't been selling that well in the first place, I doubt this decision will have much of an impact on them.

I would say that is a heck of a developer to loose for any system. I ownded several of these games and enjoyed many of them a dang good bit.

I love how fanboys dismiss publishers so easily and ignore all the good games they've given us.
Without Ubisoft, I wouldn't have played Rayman Raving Rabbids, Rabbids Go Home, Tenchu, No More Heroes 1 and 2, and Dawn of Discovery (aka Anno for the European crowd). That's a pretty nice chunk of game... although I bet 2/3 of the people commenting here haven't even tried Dawn of Discovery yet. If Ubisoft stops developing for Wii, it'll be a big loss for Wii gamers.
[edit: Ohh! Forgot Shaun White and Broken Sword, two more great titles!]
That said, I'm just about bought out this generation. With 50+ Wii games that I actually like and another 10-15 (easy) on my wishlist, there simply isn't enough time or money to care about future games until the next generation of consoles arrive. Especially not more Rabbid party-game rehashes... two is my limit.
