@ryanknight717 (comment 38) The only reason that I did not include 'Super Paper Mario' on this list, is simply because I already have it. It is the only Paper Mario game that I have played. It is a superb game, the juxtaposition between 2D and 3D perspectives makes for some really inventive gameplay, I completely understand why you are shouting out for it. The only thing that would make it better for me, would be if there was an extra option to play it as a straight platformer without all of the chatting, possibly as an unlockable once the story was finished. @ArtMcCarthyDotCom (post 41) I am really looking forward to 'Super Mario Bros. Wii', I am thinking of buying it as the main game for my family to play multiplayer on Christmas day. The mixture of penguin suit with the slippy slidey ice levels, sounds like perfect festive gaming to me.
I am passionate about retro gaming, from antiquated consoles to the continuation of classics. Obviously I love PSone, and PS2 retro games. I blast my ears to breakneck melodic punk, gruff vocals and nimble alternative guitar hooks.
I haven't played Muramasa but Wario Land is brilliant! So is Klonoa, but it's a bit shorter and it has some 3D elements to it, which is why I'd recommend Wario Land over it for you.
Wario Land is great! Highly recommended. If you get it, make sure to try your hands on the challenges and treasure hunting and I'm sure you'll end up loving the game.
Klonoa is a good game with gorgeous graphics and neat atmosphere. But in the end it wasn't that special to me. Still worth playing it but I'd recommend to save it for later, get Wario Land first.
I haven't played Muramasa yet, but it does look absurdly amazing. Hopefully it plays well too.
