Topic: Think we'll get more NeoGeo games sometime?

Lets say a second collection comes out at the end of 2010 and a number of Neo Geo comes out on the VC soon that you really want to play.

Consider the VC downloads as a 'rental'. A way to play the games you want before the collection comes out at a small cost (as long as you give them sufficient play time).

Okay, sure you may eventually own duplicates; games you own on the VC and on a future collection but the collection may never come out. A 'volume one' doesn't always mean a 'volume two' will be released. If you're still unsure, just get the games that you REALLY don't want to wait for and then play them a whole lot in the time before the collection comes out with the game in so that you'll feel like you got your money's worth out of the download.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

We might see more of them on VC later on, but not a lot, I bet. Just to ask, how well have the titles that are available been selling, and do any of you think the company that emulates them will fix the 480p problem eventually?

Anyone notice the influx of Neo Geo titles that are now rated. Aside from the ESRB rating for KOF' 95, we now have Fatal Fury Special and some non-fighting games rated. The newly rated titles are
League Bowling
Baseball Stars Pro
Alpha Mission II

I bet more Neo Geo titles are on the way and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Last Resort, Shock Troopers, Blazing Star, and Art of Fighting 3. Please don't forget Metal Slug 3

Odd choice. The only reason anyone should get this over Baseball Stars 2 would be out of a desire to play a "cleaner" game without constant power ups.

League Bowling is also an odd one - when all Wii owners get the most perfect bowling game ever made included with their console, is there really that much of a market for this?

I'd like to see Pulstar. Not too sure if it's on a collection or not. If not, that'd seem like a good game to release.

League Bowling oh man I played that game so much...

Here's the real reason that none of the recent NEOGEO games have made it to the VC. The Wii doesn't have enough RAM to load them into memory. Compilations are different. They are rebuilt for the system. VC games are emulated and the whole game has to be loaded into RAM. Most of the better NEOGEO games are quite large and not only will they overload the Wii's RAM (unless they used some sort of SD disk caching) they will also be much too large for the Wii download limits. This is really too bad because there are a ton of good games.

Thank You

Interesting a slew of new Neo Geo games to be released, but nothing is being released. I'll never understand Nintendo's logic.

These recent heap was just rated, though. I'm sure we'll see them soon.

Super Sidekicks? Yawn. And Super Sidekicks 3 is on the SNK Collection anyway.

Super sidekicks, League Bowling, Alpha Mission II, and Baseball stars Pro. have all shown up on the ESRB listings. But here is the odd thing part about it. These four titles are listed under PS3 and PSP not the Wii. Very odd indeed.

Edit: At least Neo Geo games returned to the VC today.

I downloaded Fatal Fury Special today but there seems to be an incredible amount of flicker and the game keeps jumping from scanlines to no scanlines. Has anyone else experienced this?

I downloaded it but everything seems fine. I have not noticed any issues with scanlines or flicker

I figured out what was wrong:

"Some Virtual Console games default to displaying 240 lines of video. Some HD TV's are unable to display a signal with only 240 lines. "
